About Delivino
Delivino is an independent family restaurant at 22 High St in Auchterarder, where the kitchen makes pasta by hand and bakes thin Roman-style pizzas. Its menu runs to 32 dishes, and monthly specials sit alongside the regular list. Starters include Arancini, Garlic & Chilli Prawns and a Scottish Smoked Salmon & Crayfish Bruschetta, with bread served alongside. Several plates are marked vegan, among them the House Hummus. A dessert menu carries its own specials, and the drinks list covers wine, including pinot grigio. Coffee, scones and cakes are also served, so the restaurant works as a stop for lunch or coffee for people travelling on the A9.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers point most to the smoked salmon and crayfish bruschetta, described as layered with avocado and sun-dried tomato on crisp bread, a light lunch that left one diner raving. Close behind are starters and desserts: a Brie appetizer called a show stopper, a prawn appetizer, macaroni cheese with truffle oil, a tiramisu that was one table's favourite, and a bread and butter pudding one diner counted among the best they had had. Pizzas are described as well made with a nice base, and one coffee stop brought fresh scones and lovely cakes. Service is repeatedly called friendly and welcoming, with one server praised for talking a table through the specials. Complaints are few but specific. The room is a little crammed, one reviewer expects attention to be hard to get at busy times, and a large noisy group spoiled the atmosphere for another. One pizza arrived too burnt, though the second came out just right. A homemade lemon meringue pie also disappointed at lunch, and the restaurant did not charge for it.

“Perfect pit-stop, perfect full meal restaurant. We dropped in to grab a lunch on the way and were able to enjoy a top quality, delicious meal, of just the right size, swiftly and professionally served. For 50p more than a mass produced meal-deal offering at Tesco, we DINED. That's worth talking about. These guys have a devoted local following that I'd join if only I lived less than a hour away. (I live in Norway) But I so want to come back. We were welcomed instantly, served professionally and so friendly. A very good menu, authentic and delicious.”

“What an amazing restaurant. We were fortunate enough to get seated without reservations on a Friday evening. Leo did an amazing job sharing the specials with us and giving us recommendations. All of our food was absolutely delicious. The Brie appetizer was definitely a show stopper. We even ordered more bread to make sure we could finish all the Brie. All of the meals were cooked perfectly and Leo’s recommendations for the prawn appetizer were spot on! For dessert we got 4 to try-2 specials and 2 that were on the dessert menu. All of them were fantastic but the tiramisu was definitely the favorite. We are so happy our air bnb host recommended this restaurant. Leo was communicative, courteous, attentive, and honestly the best server we have had on this trip.”

“One of the best dinners we had in oir Scotland vacation. We were staying around just for one night layover and this place was recommended by out host. We were not expecting to find such a great Italian restaurant in a little small town around Edinburgh. But totally worth it you cannot go wrong with this one”

“Quite the emotional experience for me because I had been wanting good food for a few days and we just stopped off the A9 to snag a lunch and OH MY GOD. I had what some might think of as a simple dish a Sallmon and Crayfish Bruschetta, you know something light to let push forward on the road ahead without worry of being too full. But what I experienced was the perfection of a head chef who knows food. This single slice of bruschetta was stacked not so much that I couldn't eat one handed but big enough that my appetite was satiated. The perfection came from the layers, first the Bruschetta, it wasn't so toasted that you couldn't bite it easily but it was crispy enough to provide a supporting base for the dish, and provide that crumbly texture, next was the perfectly ripe avocado, a smooth base for the dish, that provides that healthy filling and amino acids that a health nut wants, then theres the crayfish delicate and appropriate portion as to not fall off this bakancing act of a dish, tucked under the sauce and salmon the crayfish provides bursts of salty with the smooth lighter sauce and herbs, then there's the salmon, did the owner catch it that morning!!??!?! I don't know but I haven't had Salmon so decidant in a while that it was the star of the dish the salmon was thin sliced and layered generously which allowed the dish to maintin its shape while eating it. Lastly the sun-dried tomato on top, wow if only it could have been split in two to experience the flavor profiles that the tomatoes brings. I felt like my mouth went on an entire journey, carefully guided by the hands that prepared this dish. How this place was not completely slammed for lunch is beyond me. But who ever is cooking up these dish profiles has been around a kitchen and my god I hope for your sake that they stay forever and come up with even more amazing dishes.”
