Customer Review Summary

The turmeric latte draws the most specific praise, with two reviewers calling it the best they have had, and a tray bake and a lemon meringue tart sit close behind among the sweet treats. Coffee gets wider approval as strong, decent and great tasting, while others single out an iced latte and a matcha latte as the best they have had. Decor is described as beautiful and gorgeous, and one reviewer reads it as an upmarket boutique hotel style that seems odd for the area. A couple of reviewers call the team friendly, though another found staff not overly friendly. The one critical review is detailed: a cortado arrived with far more milk than it should have, a flat white tasted closer to a latte, espresso timing seemed inconsistent, and the panini had minimal fillings and was only toasted on site rather than made in house, with service a little slow. Others mention comfy sofas, dog friendly seating, and a toddler enjoying the milkshakes and cookies on the outdoor seating area.

“This was the best iced latte I have ever had in my life. The whole time it has been only a 10 minute walk from my house. I am sad to think about how many iced lattes I have missed out on. The outdoor seating area is lovely. My toddler loved the milkshakes and the cookies. We will definitely be back. Amazing service too!”

“Cortado was really a kind of flat white. Flat white was more like latte or large cappuccino. Main problem - tooooooo much milk. Cortado is normally 1:1 ratio of milk to espresso. Where it was served with well over even 100ml of milk (should be 36ml-40ml). Looking at the time of brewing espresso - very inconsistent and over the time it should normally take to brew “speciality coffee”. So that is nowhere near “specialty coffee” Food - panini - really minimalistic amount of ingredients. Nothing prepared in house. Just ready piece of panini toasted here. Service is ok, maybe a little bit slow considering the place is not so busy yet.”

  • Kellie B
“Nice coffee place - the lemon meringue tart was amazing and good coffee too”
  • Louise Edwards
“Lovely, smart cafe, dog friendly and comfy sofas. The tray bake I had was delicious as was the turmeric latte! Rather trendy but I'll let them off as it was so tasty!”
