“Wednesday 18 March and I’m on the 0930 bus travelling from Kendal to Keswick. Broke my 2-hour-long journey by stopping off, for a much-needed break, at Ambleside. Wandering around the town centre on a sunny, but cool, early spring day … saw Costas and popped in for a coffee. There, I was warmly greeted by a cheery member of Costas staff - “Kristen”. Good tasting latté together with efficient service and bright chatty banter.… just what I needed to refresh & ready me to resume my journey to Keswick. [P.S. Forgot to mention: Costas’, clean-as-a-whistle ‘bathroom’ facilities]”

“I went today to order a frappe from you! It was something horrible, basically good to throw in the trash. Whenever there’s a girl with pink hair, nothing I’ve ordered has ever been good. She doesn’t add chocolate topping or whipped cream, and when you ask her, she looks at you rudely! I’ve also been on other days when two men were working, and they always made exactly what I ordered, just like it says on the menu. So, my conclusion is that I won’t go there anymore when that lady is working, because you’re just wasting your money!”
