  “Very disappointing experience. The staff had the worst attitude I've encountered in Aberdeen. They looked like they were working against their will, and their facial expressions and behavior made us feel completely unwelcome. Instead of enjoying our dinner, we felt uncomfortable throughout the visit. It's frustrating to pay for a meal and leave feeling insulted rather than appreciated as a customer. I hope the management addresses the staff's customer service, as it really ruined what should have been an enjoyable dining experience.”

  “Absurdly nice food. Just had one of the best meals of my life. The Sea Food Stew was unbeliveably good. Excellent value for money in a beautiful authentic restraunt. The food was so fresh and the staff were extremely pleasant. Can't believe I have never been here before.”

  “Lovely food and atmosphere. Gave only 2 stars for service. It was actually pretty good but they served us 2 Peroni normal beers when we asked for the no alcohol ones. Our fault for not double checking but when we realised and told them they really weren’t bothered about their mistake.”

  “Absolutely wonderful ! From the moment you step in you feel welcome - the staff are very friendly and attentive. My friend opted for the 3 course lunch menu which is excellent value for money; garlic bread, carbonara and banoffee cheesecake - £15 - she couldn’t eat it all but the restaurant gladly offered takeaway box for later. I opted for a dish from the à la carte menu - a gorgeous seafood stew which came with some garlic bread and roasted vegetables - it had delicious tomato sauce, large plump king prawns, small piece of monkfish, some calamari and an abundance of mussels. A true delight. The restaurant was quite busy but that didn’t take away from the service whatsoever. I can’t wait to return and try more dishes soon!”

  “I used to love eating here but for one reason or another had not been for a very long time. We were seated at the top of the stairs. The expansion may make financial sense but reduced atmosphere. It was very full and busy and although we were there early evening, they had ran out of squid and also mussels. Our subsequent starters were nice but nothing to write home about. For main we had the fish stew which was delicious and the fennel sausage stew - less delicious. It lacked the promised rich red wine sauce and instead seemed to be in a pretty standard tomato sauce using the same base for everything. The waitress was very nice but had to run about with a walkie talkie thing which frankly, did not enhance the dining experience. I would go again on a quiet weekday evening for a quick dinner but not for a meal intended to be more special. Size of restaurant has in my view affected the quality of cooking.”
