Customer Review Summary

Diners most often come for delicious food in big portions, with the bruschetta, lasagna and strawberry cheesecake named in one review. Close behind is value, with one reviewer singling out the three course set menu, and service described as quick, friendly and attentive. One pre-theatre diner says nobody felt rushed. Others mention a good whiskey selection, nice wines by the glass, comfortable chairs and a layout that doesn't feel crammed. One reviewer notes the portions were so big they skipped dessert. The main criticism comes from a reviewer who found the Margherita pizza closer to a four-cheese supermarket pizza, with no basil tasted despite being told it was blended into the sauce. That reviewer called the pasta decent but nothing exceptional. Another found an early dinner loud with a large table of children, and staff a little harassed between sittings, though still friendly. The manager answered the pizza complaint by sending over a few basil leaves, and one diner finished the meal with a free limoncello shot.

“Had the opportunity to have dinner at this restaurant today. To make it short, we had one of the best time. The food was amazing and we ended up drinking for sometime later. The portions are really big so be mindful to not stuff yourself before coming here. I was so full after my main dish that I couldn't have any desserts. But they do have a good alcohol selection so ended up having some whiskey instead of a dessert. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again. Cheers 🫡 🍻”

“As someone who has tried many Italian restaurants across Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Aberdeen, I wanted to share an honest review. If you’re looking for authentic Italian sourdough pizza, this is not the place. I ordered a Margherita pizza, which was supposed to include basil as described. I was told it was blended into the sauce, but I couldn’t taste it at all. The pizza both looked and tasted more like a standard four-cheese supermarket pizza rather than an authentic Margherita. The pasta was decent, nothing exceptional. However, the service was excellent and definitely a highlight of the experience. When I raised my concern with the manager, he did try to address it by sending over a few basil leaves. I’ve also uploaded pictures of Margherita pizzas from other Italian restaurants for comparison, the verdict is yours.”
