Customer Review Summary
The sweet corn tamale, especially the tamal de elote con camarones, is the dish reviewers single out most, with several calling it a must and the star of the meal. Close behind, the ceviche tray, tuna tostadas, and shrimp tamales in white sauce draw consistent praise for their freshness and flavor. Diners also highlight the fajita guacamole, grilled oysters, and pompano al limon as standouts. Service is repeatedly described as attentive and personal, with multiple reviewers noting that staff members are accommodating and proactive, and that the chef sometimes comes out to explain the dishes. The chips and salsa starter is a frequent point of approval. A few note that the open seating and bright lighting can make the atmosphere feel more party-like than intimate, which may not suit a quiet date.

“My family wanted to try La Fisheria, and as a vegetarian, I was a little hesitant that I'd have many options. I ended up ordering the mushroom avocado ceviche, and it was so flavorful and delicious! And the churros, oh my gosh, hands down …”

“Came here for dinner before a show at 713 Music hall. The food is delish! Their fajita guacamole is so good with the lime twist on it! The salsa that comes with the chips is super refreshing and citrus yummy too! The star of the dinner is the shrimp tamales in white sauce! That was really good!”

“The Sweet Corn Tamale (Tamal de Elote) is a must. I’m usually not even a big fan of tamales, but this one was incredible. It’s almost like a dessert, and the sauce they serve it with is so good. We also had the grilled oysters and the fried whole fish (Mojarra). Both were solid and fresh, though the tamale was definitely the star of the show. The staff is super friendly, and the vibe is great for a date night. Plus, they bring out chips and salsa to start, which is always a win.”

“Great dinner! We ordered the ceviche tray, half a dozen oysters and the tamal de elote con camarones, and all were absolutely delicious. Our server Anita was very accommodating and proactive. Also great music. We will definitely recommend to friends and return!”

“Wow! Food and drinks were amazing. My husband and I came and were both highly impressed with the quality and freshness. The chef took the time to even come out and tell us how he prepared everything. Alex the waitress was attentive and made the dinning experience top tier. We will be back, and hopefully soon!”
