  “I was one of the last people in my family to go to Peter Lugers in Brooklyn. And frankly, I was jealous to hear the stories about how great the restaurant and food is. Well! I went, an anniversary dinner with my hubby, and it did not disappoint! Great menu, great service (Eric) and great atmosphere! I highly recommend the bacon with onion and tomatoes and the we had the T-bone steak for two. Delicious! The steak was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned. We had the creamed spinach and German potatoes as sides and the chocolate fudge sundae for dessert! What a meal! Thankfully Eric packed up all of our leftovers and we were able to enjoy it again the next day 😁 If you are in Brooklyn, and you want a great steak, head to Peter Lugers and you will be the envy of your friends and family!”

  “The host forgot about my reservation. Had to watch him give my table away to 4 different parties (who checked in after me) while i waited for 45 minutes. Checked in at 7:30, reservation at 7:45. Finally seated at 8:15. Worst part is I over heard the other parties They had 7:45 and 8:00 reservations, so why skip us and give them the table. Pretty sure the host forgot about us, until I reminded him. Also inside the restaurant, it was way too loud and crowded. Food didn’t make up for this terrible experience. Server was funny and nice at least. Friendly advice- find other steakhouses in NYC. They’re definitely better.”

  “The Famous Peter Luger Steakhouse! Sure doesn’t disappoint! We’ve been to the Great Neck location and had a great experience, but wanted to come to the original location. Make sure to make a reservation on Resy early on if you’re dining in the evening or the weekend, because their reservations fill up fast! We got the thick cut bacon (must have), Steak for Two (porterhouse), and Creamed Spinach (delicious) and Grilled Asparagus (lightly flavored, nice change of flavor). The steak is delicious and well worth the hype, both with and without their famous steak sauce. The service is good, and the restaurant is simple but nice. Parking can be difficult with side street parking. Overall, highly recommended!”

  “Dining at Peter Luger Steak House was truly unforgettable. Honestly one of the best steaks I have ever tasted. The meat had that perfect texture — beautifully crispy on the outside, yet incredibly tender and juicy with every bite. The flavor was deep, rich, and cooked to perfection. Their famous sauce was also very unique and complemented the steak exceptionally well. Even the butter stood out — rich, flavorful, and surprisingly memorable on its own. No wonder this legendary steakhouse has received Michelin recognition for years and has remained iconic since 1887. A timeless New York dining experience that absolutely lives up to its reputation. 🥩✨”

  “I went for the meat and it was excellent, cooked perfectly to my liking 'rare'. Atmosphere is average, service is nice and efficient. I tried cheesecake it was good but too thick. All desert come with a nice whipped cream. I will come back even if this is overall a bit expensive.”

  “Peter Lugers Brooklyn: If you’ve been here COMMENT BELOW, share if overrated or landmark dining experience. (Since 1887) YES FREE 🅿️ PARKING LOT, here’s the pics of Menu & Food for those curious. Started with some laughs then focused on 🥓 BACON, Yes! I Smothered it in their famous Steak Sauce, also made a mini BLT with the bread basket 😆. Wedge Salad with blue cheese & bacon, Shrimp Cocktail, tomato & onion followed, as the table wanted to order as if it was the last meal, we decided on the Steak for 4. 2 well plated Steaks arrived sizzling on the dish, served medium rare finely distributed to each plate with a side of well done German Fried Potatoes & creamed spinach. Juicy Buttery deliciousness, a top rated Zagat dining experience! I am a big fan of their homemade steak sauce as it is a fixture in my fridge (can be purchased locally in Stop & Shop etc) When finished the waiter placed their famous chocolate bitcoins & fresh whipped cream on the table, we ordered a steaming hot Pecan Pie that will forever live in your dreams as this meal closed and we gasped for air 😂. It’s almost impossible to stop eating (photo of my current size can confirm 🤦) honestly; We could have had a steak for 3, even for 2 with more sides and been satisfied but oddly we are programmed to overeat and then complain. Credit Cards are not accepted so prepare to bring your wallet or break into your retirement account because you get what you pay for, this celebratory organizational achievement meal was good, I’m thankful for the night out with friends.”

  “Been coming here for over 2 decades. Steak is always consistent and delicious. My usual order would be steak for 2, bacon, tomato and onion and shrimp cocktail as alway. Steak always come out cooked to exact temperature request.”
