  “I would give no stars if I could. I called on a Wednesday and told her husband, he's the only one that answers the phone and does her scheduling, that I wanted to make an appointment for my SON to get cornrows for Friday. Her husband told me to call back Friday morning to make an appointment for that day. I called back that Friday and explained to her husband that he told me to call back today to schedule an appointment for my SON to get cornrows. He told me what time to bring my son. I bring my son early and Aude tell's me, " I do not do men's braids, I am only doing girls for back to school". I explained to her that I spoke to her husband twice and told him both times the appointment was for my son. She then tells me to try the hair salon nextdoor. This was very poor communication and I was extremely disappointed. Be very cautious when trying to schedule and appointment here and communicating with her husband. I had a bad experience with her years ago, I should have known better than to try to give them another chance.”

  “Over charged me for a shitty job on my hair. On the outside my hair look really good when in a ponytail but on the inside my hair is a mess. I have box braids and my boxes are different sizes. I suppose to have small box braids so my boxes are supposed to be small. Her husband is rude, he told me that they don’t do refunds. I just wanted some of my money back after I realized my hair was a mess from the middle of my head on down. Aude didn’t braid my hair, she had someone else do it. However, Aude called herself fixing my unraveling braids by using nail glue to stop my ends from unraveling. Aude seen the messed up boxes in my head while she was glueing my braids but didn’t say anything. I didn’t know she was glueing my ends (I thought she was braiding them down & knotting them), I found out she used glue when I went to move and my hair was stuck to the chair 🤦🏾‍♀️ I got my hair done on 4/4/25 it took 12hrs, I didn’t leave until 2:53am 4/5/25. My hair started unraveling that same day. That following Tuesday was when Aude glued my ends. A couple of days later (Friday night) was when I realized I had different size boxes. I called and Aude husband answered and I told him the problem and that I would like some of my money back. He was rude and told me that they don’t do refunds and also that they can only use so many packs of hair on the paying clients that’s why my hair was the way it was, and some more bs. Also, over the phone he will tell you for box braids the prices are $160, $180, & $200. Those 3 prices depend on the size and length and however I was overcharged $280 for this bs. I learned a lesson and from now on I would take my money elsewhere to a different African shop. I do not recommend them to anyone, also hair was taken from a client who was there getting her hair braided when I was there. When she went to the bathroom Aude tossed some of her hair to the braided who was braiding my hair. So basically that’s stealing because they did not provide that hair the young girl bought with her that she purchased herself.”

  “The whole experience was great! When I called to make the appointment I spoke with Ms. Aude’s husband and he was very nice. Ms. Aude and her daughter worked on my and I love my small knotless braids!!! The price was affordable and the atmosphere was great. I will be coming back for all of my braiding needs!!!”

  “It was a few short days before school started. Completely lost track of time. My family and I just moved here in February so I didn’t know any places for my daughter to get her hair done. This was the first and last place I called. A gentleman answered the phone and I asked about getting a same day appointment for my daughter. He stated that he would call me back around 11am. Honestly I had doubts but I am glad that I kept my faith! He called me back before 11 and told me to bring her at 2. I brought her in and I had to leave because of my working split shift from home. I was not worried because I met two of the nicest,sweetest,and funniest woman there. We may have spent the last hour arguing about crocs lol but that’s besides the point. This place is the only place I will take my child. Usually when she gets her hair braided she’s in tears. Not this time! She was happy and tear free! Like I told her and meant it take all my money honey because this is the only place I know and the only place I will go. Chassity”

She asked me several times if I was ok because you know getting box braids takes a while. She also let me check her work throughout the process. If you need your hair braided please come see them!”
