  “Don’t go here Roy can’t cut African American hair. He gave my son a bowl cut in 2025 and it was uneven and tacky. When confronted he apologized and offered a free hair cut when his hair grew back. I laughed and said no thanks. He either needs to retire or go back to barber school. Don’t waste ya money go up the street to professional by CVS.”

  “Roy’s Barber Shop is terrible and he butchered my hair multiple times. He does not even listen to what I told him and he charged me so much for a mediocrity. Trust me, don’t go to Roy’s, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A BLACK MALE, because he will mess up your hair. He’s the worst I’ve been to!”

  “Haircut is decent. Atmosphere and service needs work. I’ve been there 4 times now, and the same dude cuts my hair every time, and I have no idea what his name is, and he asks me how I want my hair cut every time I go there, i don’t even think the kid realizes who his repeat customers are! No conversation, and he cuts hair facing away from the mirror.”

  “Hands down the best barber shop experience I’ve ever had. Roy and Mike are both great guys at the top of their craft. I showed Mike a picture of an undercut and he executed it perfectly. Looking forward to going back in a few weeks time!”

  “I went there twice since it's the closest barbershop to my house but both times i got a bad haircut. Lack of finesse and cleanliness in the final cut. Would not recommend for black men even though the owner is black.”
