  “I made my appointment online for regular acrylic fill ($25) and a basic pedicure ($30) I selected these services from the drop down menu. I also took a screenshot of my appointment confirmation which included the selected services. I added French polish to the pedicure at the salon($5). Go to pay and they wanted me to pay $77. I asked why as it’s listed on the booking page as well as their menu a regular acrylic fill is $25, a basic pedicure is $30 plus the French polish $5. Two different nail techs (one who didn’t ever provide any services to me) tried to say I received a “color fill”. I specifically booked a regular acrylic fill and a basic pedicure. (I also confirmed the basic pedicure while sitting in the pedicure chair). I told the tech who was performing my fill I wanted basic acrylic (this was after she started to apply the dip products for my fill). I stopped her at that point and again said regular acrylic fill. She said ok- basic. I asked them to look at my last (and first) visit there, that I previously had the same service, an acrylic fill. I told the front desk that I assumed it was a little higher last time due to them trimming my nail length down. She stated that’s only $5, and the lady charged you $40. I didn’t question it last time because I didn’t really pay attention to the extra charge for nail trim down when I asked for that service. That’s on me. But, based on the charges and the trim being on $5, this isn’t the first time they’ve done this. The front desk also stated she wasn’t a nail tech and didn’t know the differences in the service (that’s ok, I didn’t expect her too) I am however a licensed cosmetologist and former instructor (who just happen to teach the nail program) so I do know the difference in the services and products. Owner was contacted via speaker phone- I explained my situation and showed the receptionist exactly what I had booked from my screenshot. Owner stated to the receptionist to just charge me the $25. He also told her to make sure the techs were asking/explaining what the customer wanted and price. I give 2 stars ONLY because the pedicure service was good (minus the French polish job, which I should have inspected better at the time. I asked for a thicker line- but none of these are the same width and the lines are crooked on some) and the owner didn’t charge me for a service I didn’t ask for/receive. Be aware of what you’re getting charged for, I was almost taken twice.”

  “Please do not book with Mindy for nail removal. I came in expecting a safe removal process, but instead my nails were ripped off rather than properly removed. I left with damaged natural nails, pain, and multiple Band-Aids covering my fingers. What was most upsetting was that I felt my discomfort and concerns were ignored throughout the process. Nail removal should never leave a client with torn, damaged nails. She was absolutely rude and ruthless somebody like this should not be handling the care of others Nails. I personally think she didn’t feel like soaking and taking them off the Safe way. I still paid for the service, but I left disappointed, hurting, and with nails that will take time to recover. I wanted to share my experience so others can make an informed decision.”
