  “My daughter and I stumbled upon this little shop by accident on a Saturday late afternoon. It was very clean and the proprietors were welcoming. I chose the highest pedicure package offered on the menu and was surprised and delighted at the thorough and most relaxing experience with the knowledgeable Tara. It was the best pedicure I have experienced in my life! Warm stone massage, wax moisturizing. In addition I saw her salon also offered eyebrow waxing, manicures, gels acrylics and much more. After the fantastic pedicure I felt confident enough to allow Tara to expertly shape and waxed my brows. I was so impressed by this talented lady I delayed my departure home and returned the next day for a manicure. I live a little over 3 hours away, but I will be returning just for the pedicure every couple of months. If you live in the Bloomington/Normal area this is where you want to go.”

  “I booked my appointment through the Vargo app for 9:00 AM. However, the technician did not arrive until 9:10 AM, even though the store was supposed to open at 9 AM. I informed him I was booked for a regular polish manicure and pedicure, and that I was getting them done for a photoshoot. Once I picked my color and sat in the pedicure chair, I noticed the foot bowl was not properly cleaned—there were visible particles floating in the water. The technician cut my toenails unevenly and far too short - mind you he used cuticle trimmers and not regular nail clippers to trim my toes nails, applied the polish carelessly (like he was icing a cupcake), and left polish all over the skin around my toes without bothering to clean it up. Next was the manicure. I was directed to station #11, which was covered in powder from previous services and had live nail clippings still on the surface—completely unsanitary. I specifically asked for my nails to be shaped because of what happened to my toes. Instead, he brought over a plastic bowl (like one you’d eat from) filled with warm water for soaking. My cuticles were barely cleaned, and before polishing, he asked me to pay—something I found very unprofessional. Trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, I allowed him to proceed with polishing. Unfortunately, it was the same sloppy result: an extremely thick, uneven application, polish on my cuticles and skin underneath my nails, and no cleanup. I am extremely disappointed with the $55 service, which looked and felt more like a rushed $20 job. This shop is unsanitary, unsafe, and lacks professionalism. I strongly regret my visit and wish I could get my money back.”

  “I asked for almond, I didn’t get that at all. The shapes are all different sizes and he didn’t check the Length of my nails as well. They are super chunky and just don’t look right. They were very rushed and just wanted to get to the next client. Didn’t touch my cuticles and didn’t put anything on my hands afterwards so they were still very gross. I am very disappointed and won’t be going back. I will say they are very nice people though, Still way overpriced and my nails look terrible.”

  “Typical nail salon. Salon seems pretty clean. "Norman" was my nail tech. His work could be better if he didn't rush through the process, talked to coworkers, and paid more attention to what he's doing. $50 for a gel overlay and $40 for a fill-in. 😔 …”
