About Apollo Beach Diner
Old-school plates anchor the menu at Apollo Beach Diner, a restaurant on N U.S. Hwy 41 in Apollo Beach, where Liver & Onions and a Bone-In Ham Steak sit among 87 dishes. Skillets layer potatoes, ham, bacon and sausage underneath, with eggs laid flat on top, and Country Fried Steak With Sausage Gravy comes either as a plate with eggs or built into a skillet. Potatoes are not frozen, so hash browns and home fries arrive seasoned and crisp, and biscuits come warm and toasted with gravy on the side or over the top. Eggs are cooked to order, and the kitchen takes substitutions and off-menu requests. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all run out of the same small room, with a rotating daily special and coffee by the cup. Seating is walk-in only. The owners work on site alongside the servers, and regulars are known by name. Hours are daytime, six days a week, with Tuesdays closed.

Customer Review Summary
Country fried steak with sausage gravy is what reviewers return to most, served as a regular plate or as a skillet with eggs and a biscuit. Diners describe a crispy cutlet, peppery gravy, seasoned and crispy hash browns, and portions big enough that one says it fed them three times. Close behind are the breakfast special plate with scrambled eggs, bacon, a warm buttermilk biscuit and creamy cheese grits, plus a breakfast burrito and a meat skillet layered with potatoes, ham, bacon and sausage under flat eggs. One reviewer praises a perfect over medium egg on two visits, and another singles out the chicken tenders, home fries and a Chicken Parmesan on the new menu. A server who accommodates a Buffalo chicken tender in place of breakfast meat is mentioned too. Reviewers call the staff friendly and kind, describe quick service, and note the owners are engaged. The one caveat is that the space is very small. Several mention regulars who know the staff, and one says they eat there nearly every Sunday after church.

“Although the space is very small, the food is generous, the patrons are kind, and the staff is happy to be of service. We loved our first visit today! Left with a to-go box and drink, plus a full belly and genuine connections with everyone I came in contact with. :)”

“Had the country fried steak skillet with eggs over easy and a biscuit. Potatoes were seasoned well, eggs nice & runny, biscuit was fluffy & toasted, really enjoyed the sausage gravy. Great breakfast. Fed me three times (portion was insane, good). Husband enjoyed his breakfast burrito & coffee too. Quick service. Lovely staff.”

“We love Apollo Beach Diner. We go almost every Sunday after church. The service is great and the food is delicious. They’ve become very accommodating of my request for a Buffalo chicken tender in place of traditional breakfast meat (most of the girls seem to expect me to order it now ☺️). Their chicken tenders are amazing, as are the home fries. Clearly not frozen like you get from some restaurants. The pic with this review is a spin on a daily special they had that was supposed to be a Chicken Benedict with biscuit and gravy. I asked to pass on the gravy and roll my chicken in Buffalo sauce, which they did and it was soooo good!! 😋 Update: Chicken Parmesan is on the new menu - really good!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Classic Diner Experience! If you’re looking for a true mom-and-pop gem, Apollo Beach Diner is a must-visit. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming — just the kind of place that makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit. The food was great across the board: hearty portions, flavorful comfort classics, and everything cooked with care. The staff was friendly and attentive, and you can tell this place has real pride in what they do. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this diner delivers. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area!”
