Customer Review Summary

Pretty Penny draws consistent praise for its imaginative, flavor-driven small plates, with reviewers repeatedly highlighting the caviar offered at cost, the octopus tostada, and the spring pea salad as standouts. The cocktail menu earns equal enthusiasm, with multiple reviewers singling out the Pretty Penny Martini, the Citrus Vesper, and a tomato and basil inspired cocktail as highlights, describing the drinks as innovative takes on classics. The food is described as vibrant, well balanced, and globally inspired, with seasonal and rotating specials keeping the menu fresh. Service is a recurring strength, with several reviewers noting the staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and welcoming, and that servers worked as a team to guide first time visitors through the menu. The atmosphere is repeatedly called intimate, cozy, and lively, making it a favorite for date nights and girls dinners. A few reviewers note the space is fairly small with mostly high top seating, and several suggest booking a reservation in advance.

This was a new experience of cuisine and atmosphere for date night. My partner and I had Caleb as a server and he was absolutely fantastic. Super considerate, humorous, and down-to-earth. The food options here are also so diverse and refreshed our palettes. Would definitely recommend.

What a lucky find Pretty Penny was! We were in visiting the area and needed a fun and interesting place for dinner. I scrolled through several booking apps and found them on Tock (I don't use Tock very often) Small, cool, neighborhood restaurant in a great vibing location downtown PHX. Food was curated, thoughtful, interesting and delicious and our server was dialed. We'd go back just to eat here and you should too! Thank you chef et all for a magical experience where the food was like a party in my mouth.

Pretty Penny is such a gem in downtown Phoenix. The food is absolutely beautiful, both visually and flavor-wise. Everything we tried was vibrant, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. They also run really exciting specials, which makes each visit feel fresh and fun. The menu is made up of internationally inspired small plates that are creative and not over-thought. Each dish is flavor-forward, beautifully composed, and well executed, with global influences that keep things exciting. You can really taste the care and quality behind every plate, it’s elevated, but still approachable and fun. The bartender is creative, friendly, and clearly knows their craft. The vibe is lively and stylish. Most of the seating is high-tops, which I personally didn’t mind at all, but it’s something to note if you prefer standard tables. Overall, a great spot for excellent food, drinks, and energy. I’ll definitely be back.
