  “It’s always disappointing when you’ve been looking forward to Mexican food all day, and then it just doesn’t deliver. We had been playing pickleball in Clay and searched for birria nearby, and this place was the first result. I’ll start with the positive: the Mexican candy shots were delicious. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the visit. Everything else was just lacking flavor and seasoning. The refried beans were awful, the queso was bland, and the chips were thick and completely unsalted. I ordered the steak tacos with the birria consommé, and I ended up adding a ton of salt and covering everything in salsa verde just to make it enjoyable. My friend ordered the tamales, and they were dry, bland, and just as disappointing. If you’re only stopping in for drinks, it might be worth a visit. But based on our experience, I can’t recommend the food. We had spent about $50, were absolutely starving after hours of pickleball, so we ate it anyway—but it was definitely not the meal we’d been hoping for.”
