  “There is nothing that I've had from there that wasn't good. From the club to chicken Alfredo to the hamburger steak. One of the the best places and atmospheres that I've visited. Customer service and food is ALWAYS A1. Trust me you won't be disappointed if you're visiting Hoover.”

  “I’ve been a loyal regular at Gabes for a long time, and honestly, that’s why this is so frustrating to even say. I love the atmosphere, the bartenders, the staff, and the overall vibe. A lot of the workers know me by name, and I know them too. Some even have my personal number because I’m there that often. Johnny is one of my favorites, and the staff is a huge reason I continue to come back. And to be clear Gabes itself is NOT the issue. I will absolutely continue to support the business because the bartenders, workers, drinks, deals, and overall environment are amazing. My frustration is specifically with the way karaoke is being run by the DJ. At this point, the rotation system feels completely inconsistent and honestly unfair. We’re constantly told there’s a “rotation,” but it really doesn’t seem like there actually is one. You can sign up early, wait for hours, ask where you are in line, and still somehow get skipped while the same people sing two or three times before you even get called again once. That’s the issue. It’s not about who sings the best, who’s friends with who, or who deserves more stage time. It’s about professionalism and consistency. If you tell customers there’s a rotation, then there needs to actually BE a rotation that’s followed fairly. A visible sign-up list or queue would solve so much confusion because right now people are sitting there for 3+ hours waiting, eventually leaving out of frustration, and then suddenly getting called after they walk out the door. That’s disheartening, especially when you’ve spent your entire night there supporting the business, buying drinks, tipping bartenders, and contributing to the atmosphere. I’m not trying to be rude or difficult, but common sense and fairness matter. If you’re running karaoke professionally, there needs to be structure and accountability. Otherwise it just feels random and frustrating for the people who genuinely support the place week after week. Again, I love Gabes and will continue to support Gabes. This post is not directed at the business itself. It’s directed at the way karaoke is currently being managed, because it could and should be handled much better.”

  “This restaurant popped up on my tiktok so I asked my mom if she wanted to try it w|me. We ended up going to order in store. We did not know that people are allowed to smoke inside. That was the only downfall to our experience but we made the best of it by walking the parking lot while we waited for our food. The food though was great! We will definitely be ordering again.”
