  “I am always seeking out the hole in the wall and the places you need to order in spanish (but they let me order in english 😜), and I am mad at myself for driving by this place for decades, looking at the smoke rolling out of the shack and never stopped. This was some of the best and most heavily seasoned Mexican street style food I have ever had. The Barbacoa was delightfully hot and spicy and the salsa roja and salsa verde condiments were obviously home made and wildly flavorful. The ribs (costillas) were perfectly smokey and intensely flavorful, fork tender. If you order a plate, expect the meat portions to be double what you expect from the price relative to most other places, and absolutely drowned in their amazing sauces. Don't expect the contents not to slosh out if you order to go! The quesadillas have the right ammount if meat and onions and a crazy ammount of very chewy, savory cheese. The lengua burrito was the perfect texture of chewy chunks with the a generous portion of meat and the right balance of beans and rice. The beans and rice, served with each plate, exceed expectations with overly savory flavors.”

  “Incredible and fresh tacos! Ordered 5 tacos and a water and total came out around $17. Slightly expensive but the taste and portions definitely justify it. Awesome local owned place! Very authentic.”

  “Decatur's Al hidden gem....very very good food, pricing is right taste and quality is just mouthwatering 🤤.....I'm definitely hooked 5 days and counting...truckers nearby should definitely try it out. Carne Asada and Bbq chicken is awesome!”

  “Their parking lot has holes and the restaurant isn't fancy looking, but slap my face cheeks for doubting their chicken tacos were gonna suck. I am going to have cravings for that wood-smoked chicken meat they make. Spent less than 10 bucks …”

  “Like someone else said if you see the smoke billowing from Hwy 20 then definitely stop by for some amazing food. Very Authentic. I had the chicken taquitos and my husband had a Torta Chicken sandwich. Everything was fresh and delicious. We were pleasantly surprised. Don't judge a book by its cover. Stop by. You won't regret it.”

  “Everything we ate was amazing! I got the mole, and the chicken had so much flavor. I'll definitely be coming back for more. Only downside is the building doesn't have A/C, so it was pretty warm when we were there in the middle of summer.”

  “Excellent food and very authentic. It's definitely a hole in the wall, But the chicken tacos are very flavorful. If you see the smoke billowing off of highway 20 make sure you stop for some amazing food. The owners younger son had to translate, but the food was so good you couldn't care less.”
