  “Luckily then got one star… First off the waitress needs to go watch YouTube on how to be a successful waitress. She came to the table 3 times to take our order, bring some ranch, and bring some fries they forgot to put in our plate… NO Refills… bout choked on the cheese grits cause they were so thick, half cooked, and must of used cottage cheese cause never seen or tasted grits like that. Second the fried oysters I ordered were cooked so long the oyster evaporated and brought crumbs from the bottom of the fryer..The hush puppies were legit the made sure you was “hushed” they were nothing to talk about no flavor and batter was so thick you could’ve used it as a birthday cake.. If Dixie knew how that restaurant was being ran she would roll over in her grave… The best thing out this restaurant was leaving.Hopefully they change the fryer oil, hush puppy recipe, and grit recipe and lastly find a waitress that loves to greet people and make people feel welcome inside restaurant. Do not waste your time drive on south bout 5-10 miles and go to David’s Catfish House.”

  “I paid $25 for hamburger steak cheese grits that were dry. The gravy was not that great at all and a salad and sweet tea. Just was not impressed by the food to pay that much money I won’t go back.”

  “The service was quick. All of the sides were not what was ordered. Everybody was mistakenly served cheese grits, and nobody liked them. They were flavorless. The same I can say about hushpuppies. Fried okra was good. Larger fried shrimp was oversalted. Popcorm shrimp was good.”

  “I’d say my overall experience was good. My server though had zero personality. I asked for ranch and never saw it or her again after getting my food. I heard they make good ranch and really wanted to try it but no luck. Tried waving her down but she never looked my way or came back to ask how it’s going. Food was fresh and hot. Everything tasted good. I got the catfish and shrimp. Came with coleslaw and choice of baked oats to or fries. I got fries. That’s what I wanted to try with the ranch. Guess not🤷🏼‍♂️”

  “Pass up the Sonic, McDs and other fast food places at this exit. Keep going and get yourself to Dixie! Some of the best catfish I’ve ever had! Perfectly crisp and tender. And the sides were just as good! Fine cut slaw and corn fritters…dang good. Very friendly and the portions were huge!”

  “It's a shack alright but that's the only place you should consider eating catfish. Delicious is a word that is very inadequate in describing the catfish, fresh and delicious shrimp and one of the best coleslaw we had anywhere. Very sweet, smiling, polite and friendly staff. It will be in our "best places ever". Don't miss it”
