  “I've been going to love at first bite for about 15 years, since the collage was opposite. I've only complained ONCE. Today I phoned to help out who I thought was my mate. I phoned to let him know the cheese is OFF. Jamie said the following "it did seem a bit pongy when I was grating it but it's fresh in today, then again I wouldn't know I don't like cheese" Right okay well give it to someone that loves cheese like me ... so that they can tell you is 100% OFF. I've got no offer of a free sandwich, no validation that he's going to do anything about the cheese being off.. apparently I'm the problem for complaining. 15 years of loyal custom flushed down the toilet. I threw the sandwich out and my car still stinks of it. I love a bit of mature cheddar but not this mature.”

  “Had their chicken bacon and water cress filling in a soft roll, what an amazing flavour profile. I’ve never seen that combo before and it was amazing. Staff were super friendly, it gave me a great start to the day. Highly highly recommend.”

  “Came here for a change as the usual place we go to was shut. Served really quickly and the ladies were really nice and friendly. Sandwiches were really tasty and with a good amount of filling to them :)”

  “Not good today Saturday got my usual bLT bacon was so raw, as its streaky bacon the fat was sludged together had to bin it. Never had a issue all the times iv been getting. At least x3 times a week. Not sure y it wasn't noticed. Shame. Usually lovely crispy bacon.”

  “Great fillings, great selection, and great prices. Often a few minutes wait to get served as the place is usually busy with workmen and locals. Parking available for free outside. Will definitely be grabbing lunch here again.”

  “Amazing little sandwich bar, I’ve been a patron of this place for over 10 years now and never been disappointed. Lovely fresh, delicious food, reasonably priced. Couple of things to note for newcomers: they are cash-only, and it is a small shop and they do get very busy, so allow yourself time. Top notch Bacon sandwiches, with tons of bacon, to begin your day. Daily specials such as Chicken Tikka; Lemon & Parsley Chicken; Chicken, Smoked Bacon & Watercress have always been a must-have. Their annual Christmas Special sandwich is also a regular December appointment. Many thanks to Vince, Sally and the L@FB Team!”

  “Don’t walk past this shop without stopping for a sandwich. Lovely fresh bread, rolls and my favourite granary door-stops and the equally fresh fillings. Absolutely huge fillings that I need a knife and fork for the coronation chicken (no unnecessary saltanas) and not to be eaten in public without a lot of mopping up. Excellent food.”
