Quick info
About Slug & Lettuce - Worcester
On The Cross in Worcester, Slug & Lettuce is a cocktail bar with a menu of global classics and table service, where servers take orders and bring drinks to the table. Bottomless brunch runs for two hours from arrival, with rounds delivered to the table through the sitting. An upstairs seating area is set aside for group bookings, making it a practical option for hen parties and stag dos. The entrance is step-free, giving visitors with mobility needs level access into the room. The venue opens daily, and reservations are recommended ahead of a visit. Drinks lean on a cocktail list alongside the food menu, and groups can plan around the upstairs space rather than the main floor.

Customer Review Summary
Bottomless brunch dominates the feedback, with reviewers repeatedly praising quick, steady service and servers who kept drinks and food moving throughout. Close behind, the food itself draws specific praise, from the fish goujon bun with fries to a katsu curry singled out as a standout. Several hen and stag parties note being seated together with attentive table service, and cocktails and the Friday night atmosphere with a DJ come up as reasons to return. Some cracks appear, though: one brunch visit reports drink delays due to short staffing during busy upstairs bookings, and one reviewer describes being served out of date popcorn. Separately, one reviewer recounts a partner being ignored at the bar for a long stretch while others were served first, describing it as rude, and noting they'd seen another account of the same treatment. Even so, multiple parties mention staff resolving issues on the spot, including one server who had a disliked meal swapped out immediately.

“A HUGE Thank you to our Server/Waitress, Cody. She was amazing! Very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Honestly, she was fantastic! Explained everything well, asked if we had any allergies etc. We'll be back soon.Thank you 😊”

“Good bar. Reasonable selection on the menu. Staff were efficient and friendly. We went for an early lunch at 11:30 on Saturday morning- there weren't many people there at that point. Fish goujon bun with Fries was very nice. Pretty reasonable price too. If you've been to a Slug and Lettuce before, this is a very good example. The interior decor is wonderful. Recommended”

“I have just returned from my daughters Hen Party which was Saturday 2nd May (6pm till 8pm) and what a fantastic time we had. The table service from the young girl with blonde hair (sorry can’t remember her name, she will probably remember me the Mother of the Bride Pink Gin and lemonade lady 😂😂) was brilliant couldn’t have asked for a better waitress. Very polite, friendly and spot on on serving our drinks. Food was great aswell would highly recommend 😊 Will be coming back 👍😊”

“Visited a couple of weeks ago and the barman purposely didn't serve my partner for a good 15+ minutes even though he was the only one at the bar to be served next. He served other people around him who arrived afterwards. Really odd & rude. I've just seen another review of someone saying they experienced the same. (To add, we weren't drunk or causing any issues. I was sober drinking alcohol free and my partner had only had a couple of drinks and was patiently waiting, we were just bemused at what was happening 😂)”
