  “We went for breakfast this morning. Every free table had dirty plates on so we had to clear a table. We went up to get breakfast where there was only two plates on the server and both were dirty. Had to find someone to ask for more and had to wait ages. As for the food disgraceful sausages hardly cooked, mushrooms and bacon cold and eggs swimming in grease. Not sure whats going on have never had experience like this before here.”

  “We took our scouts on the way back from a day out all together there were 20 of us. The booking was made online when we turned up they made us welcome before sitting us down. The food was delicious and we all had refillable soft drinks.”

  “Delicious carvery with plenty of choices. Our carver was Will and our server was Lucy.. we visited for my Granddaughter’s 10th Birthday. We were able to bring in our own cake for after our main land Lucy lit the candles and bought to our table. My granddaughter asked for a second Yorkshire pudding and a male server fetched one for her. All the staff are helpful, friendly and kind . The restaurant was clean with nice decor and the food was great. Clean plates all round! At xx”

  “Really good experience here, we were early for our reservation but seated quickly. Our server Daniella was very friendly and helpful, and checked in on us regularly throughout our visit. Food was excellent (particularly the lamb!) and George the carver was very friendly and chatty with the kids. Overall fab experience and great food”

  “Me and my friend visited on 23/01/26 booked table for 6:30 when we arrived we was greeted by Scott who showed us to our table , we then preceeded to go up and grab our carvery we was served by ryan who always provides brilliant service, good selection of vegetables to choose from, I'd score our meal a high 9.5 out of 10, food was hot and tasty, when it came to paying our lovely server Lucy was fantastic a very cheerful and happy young lady who is a credit to you and the team, she hadn't realised we had already paid for our drinks , she apologised and went and redid the bill came back and went to take payment I was like I also have the app she then gave me a funny look this was with a smile and went and grabbed the tablet to scan to scan it but this made me and my friend laugh we went on to have a laugh and joke with lucy, Lucy was fantastic again and a credit yo you and your team look forward to being served by her again , kind regards the annoying 1 and his friend ,(we did tell Lucy we'd put the annoying 1 so she knows who this review is from) please pass my kind compliments to ryan,Scott and Lucy,”

  “What really elevated our visit was the outstanding service we received from our server, Daniella. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional throughout our entire meal. Daniella made sure we had everything we needed, checked on us at the perfect times, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making our experience a pleasant one. Service like hers is rare and really makes a difference. Thank you to the kitchen team for the great food, and especially to Daniella for her brilliant work. We will definitely be back!”

  “Nice environment as the inside of the Toby Carvery is really pleasant and set out well, with clean and nice looking decor. The food is standard carvery so not top quality. Vegetables are kept under heat lamps, as standard, so are therefore dried out over time. Pork, gammon, turkey and beef are all available. Whilst the carvery is reasonably priced, the drinks can be a little pricey compared to a standard pub. All in all a pleasant experience, just remember that a carvery is always just a carvary.”

  “We called in for breakfast on a Saturday morning, about 0830. The major positive part of this place was the colleague behind the bar. Her service was excellent. The food was dry due to the lights. The only thing that was nice were the sausages as they were juicy and didn’t have the texture of cardboard when cutting or attempting to eat the food. The venue itself felt dated and in need of some TLC..Even the toilet had a seat hanging off..”
