About K-Tea’s Tearoom & Cakes
K-Tea's Tearoom & Cakes is a tea room in Wolverhampton at 10-12 Broadway, styled after the 1940s wartime era. Drinks come in teapots with real china, so the table setting matches the theme. The menu covers English breakfast, with toast, butter and jam as extras, and afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, a sausage roll, salad and crisps. Homemade cakes include a traditional scone with jam and clotted cream. Orders are placed at the counter, with menus left on each table, and payment is cash only. Two separate rooms give larger parties space to sit together.

Customer Review Summary
Homemade cakes draw the most praise, including a traditional scone with jam and clotted cream, and one reviewer had a wedding cake and cheese platters made here. Afternoon tea brings freshly made finger sandwiches, a sausage roll, salad and crisps, with drinks top-ups offered repeatedly. Breakfast is close behind, with a full English arriving hot on a hot plate, and reviewers consistently call the value excellent. Staff are described as friendly and welcoming. One group supporting wheelchair users says the staff offered to add cream or mix up custard for a dietary need, and the real china reminded one diner of their grandparents. The recurring drawback is payment. Two reviewers stress that it is a cash only place, one relying on a companion who had cash on them, and another says prices are not freely displayed so some have to be asked for. At a children's birthday party, milkshake and squash came in teapots, and one afternoon tea table took the leftover cakes home in a box.

“We visited yesterday (16/09/23) for work with two young men we support in wheelchairs. The ladies were friendly and helpful, offering to add cream or mix up some custard for one youngmans dietary requirements. The items we purchased were of good quality and value, very reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning.”

“Katie made my wedding cake and cheese platters. They were excellent and great value for money. I have been a regular at the café for many years and always been made welcome and the breakfasts are very good too. Can't recommend enough.”
