Customer Review Summary
Curries draw the most praise, led by the Thai green curry with chicken and coconut rice, with reviewers also singling out a deep, rich red curry and a yellow curry topped with crispy onion and cashew nuts. Close behind are the starters: the chicken satay with a sauce one reviewer says they could drink, the ribs, and a mixed starter or sharing platter. The fried rice also earns a mention. Several call it the best Thai food on the Wirral and describe generous portions, polite, friendly staff, and the owner chatting with diners. Reviewers also mention bringing their own wine or beer free of charge. The caveats are mixed. One found the food only average, one thought the steak tasted heavy on MSG, and another found the satay starter small on a return visit. Service was slow on a full Friday night, and one wanted a couple more ribs on the platter. One reviewer who lives in Liverpool says the trip across is worth making.

“This is by far the best thai food I have ever had. Everyone I have ever taken to this restaurant agrees. The chicken satay is delicious and juicy, not to mention the satay sauce I could drink (and have). The yellow curry is to die for however, nothing can compare to the flavours of this dish topped with crispy onion and cashew nuts its just delicious. The fried rice too is divine and the best fried rice Ive eaten. The interior its lovely with real plants and a rustic, authentic thai feel. The service is excellent and you can bring your own wine or beer free of charge. Amazing 💯 recommend for takeaways too.”

“Atmosphere is nice, staff are lovely, food is average. Given the price isn’t too bad though, would recommend coming if on Wirral- but food is nothing to about about”

“Don’t be fooled by the dark, monkish calm of Sukhothai during the day. Come nightfall, it wakes up, throws on its good lighting, and gets on with the serious business of flavour. The place hums. Bright lights, bold heat, proper atmosphere. It isn’t cheap, but then neither is anything worth having. This is value. The kind where you leave full, happy, and slightly evangelical. The red Thai curry deserves a mention of its own: deep, rich, layered flavours that make you pause mid-conversation and reassess your life choices elsewhere. Service was a masterclass. Polite, sharp, unflappable. Impeccably presented, quick with the banter, and able to extract a coherent order from our chaos with calm authority and charm. The whole place was spotless, parking was painless, and the location mercifully avoids the post-meal Liverpool escape saga. Go hungry. Leave impressed.”
