  “Great food, very good customer service. Would recommend booking a table as about 30 mins after being seated the restaurant started filling up with the car park pretty full. Love the Grape Soda 🍇 If you havent tried it you should! Has the Waffles, Chicken and Maple syrup dish been taken off the Menu? I couldnt see it 💔 Sophie”

  “Booked a table for a birthday party. Table was ready, seated immediately. Complimentary water and popcorn placed on table. Food was very nice, some a bit spicey for my taste, so didn't finish entirely. Served and presented well. Decor quirky, staff friendly and polite, bar staff a little rude chatting amongst themselves not giving full attention to orders. A nice experience, would happily return. Car park does get very busy. We sat inside, but there are huts outside to dine in to give a quieter dining experience. A Tad expensive for the food, but it's not everyday and good for special occasions.”

  “We were served by Tiff today who was brilliant. Our party aged from 2-65 so there was quite a lot going on! She was attentive, gave recommendations, provided us with a service that was second to none. Our food was superb. All arrived piping hot, at the same time (9 different meals) and was delicious. It’s lovely to see ample staff as the majority of restaurant staff now always seem to be rushing around. Hickory’s seem to have an amazing team who were professional and friendly.”

  “After our first ever visit to hickory’s which was at Thorton Fleetwood we decided to visit Standish as it was closest to us. It was just as brilliant with great atmosphere and greater food. Our host Patrick was so great and welcoming and so was the bar tender. 5 star service and highly recommended again. We even bought 2 bottles of Hickory’s BBQ sauce as it is just amazing.”

  “Can't believe we have never been here. We booked online, which I would recommend as the place was packed on a Saturday night. We ordered the Smokehouse platter (£72.50) between the 2 of us. We swapped 1 portion of fries to the dirty tater tots - poutine style and they were gorgeous. All the food was amazing but I especially loved the smoked pork, jalapeño and cheese sausages (you get 2 and they're really big) and the beef ribs (you get 2 of these, they are large and I wish there had been 4 🤣). I ordered the red wine, it didn't say which type of wine it was (or I didn't see it) but it was a really deep, rich Malbec, just my type of red. My husband got 3 1/2 pints of Bud light in a novelty pitcher. We mentioned we were on a date night and that it was our 15 year wedding anniversary next month and we got an unexpected, free, donut with candles, which was a cute touch. Shayne was our waitor and he was brill, such a nice lad who kept us fed and watered and we had a laugh with him. We also met one of the managers, who was very polite and friendly too. Will definitely come back soon!”

  “Amazing food Super friendly staff! We were greeted and sat instantly. The restaurant was about 60% full. Katie our server was friendly, attentive and answered all questions. Very helpful! Food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. Excellent choice, amazing flavours! One of the closest smokehouse I've found to the States! And very reasonably priced!! Please bring them down with though!!”

  “Fantastic place! Food was delicious. Staff were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was Valentine’s Day and even though the restaurant was busy, this didn't alter the quality of service at all! We were celebrating my son’s 18th Birthday so they took him behind the bar to make a cocktail and presented his birthday cake beautifully on a board. Table was set up lovely with for both adults and children with children’s cutlery, menus and flags already for them when we arrived. Popcorn and a movie cinema also. They really did go above and beyond and we haven’t had service like this in a restaurant for a long time! Would recommend to everybody :)”

  “Well where to start, this was booked as a 60th birthday meal for my mum. Everyone was so very helpful when replying to emails and helping with decorations. When we arrived everything was set perfectly and we felt like we were in our own little room which was lovely. The staff as well as our server were so helpful and attentive to our needs. Bar area was great and the restaurant was so clean. One of my cousins came who had already had a bad experience and wasn’t keen on coming, however he completely changed his opinion and cleared his plate!! Out of a party of 12 there was not 1 complaint about the food or service!! The only 1 downside was how hot it was, maybe Hickory’s should look into air con with the place itself being so warm, apparently when speaking to staff members they are all the same. However we wouldn’t let that stop us returning and will be returning soon!! Thank you all so much 🤩”
