Customer Review Summary

Tagliatelle ragu is the dish diners mention most, described as full of flavour, generous with the sauce and cooked perfectly. Close behind is the calzone, called huge and delicious by two reviewers, while others praise the garlic bread, the nibbles, the lobster ravioli and an artichoke and pesto pizza. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and helpful, and some say service was quick even when the room was busy. Complaints are more scattered. A few found it very busy and loud, one calls the bright lighting less than cosy, and one thought prices were high for the taste, though another found the bill reasonable. One diner called the garlic mushrooms watery and lacking flavour. Another was unhappy to be seated in a small area beside the bar, where items were dropped, and wished staff had moved them. One couple celebrating an anniversary was sent home with their calzone leftovers.

“Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was lovely (highly recommend the nibbles). Calzone was huge as delicious. One star off atmosphere because of bright lighting made it less than cosy. Would highly recommend.”

“We really wanted to try this Italian after seeing the reviews and it was worth the visit, despite it being more expensive then most places the quality of the food exceeds expectations and was amazing. We got the tagliatelle ragu which was full of flavour and was by far one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever tried. We also got a garlic bread to share and was one of the best garlic breads I’ve ever had, full of garlic and cheese and flavour, so tasty. Everything was amazing from the super friendly staff that were attentive despite being very busy to the delicious food. Please if you come to Whitby try this Italian it is amazing!”

“1st night in Whitby and we didn't fancy the usual fish and chips. Found this restaurant and managed to get a table. So glad we did as the food was delicious. The staff were really friendly and really helpful. I would definitely recommend this place. My daughter loves her steak and said this was one of the best she'd ever had”

“Lovely food. Great selection on the menu. Friendly staff. Incredibly busy when we arrived for our 6.45pm reservation and the noise level was bit too much for me. Obviously not something that can be helped. We were just unlucky it was heaving and loud. Would definitely go again but perhaps a lunchtime might be quieter for me.”
