“I was recommended this chippy after online hunting. A fair few places gave it rave reviews. Im going to say I hope I visited on a REALLY off day as it was horrible. The fish was greasy, like it had pooled in the bag through the cardboard tray and seaped through in the space of less than 5 mins. The fish STILL had grease in the batter. It was inedible at the bottom. The chips, despite the grease going over them were dry and the most un fluffy chips with next to no flavour, they had a crinkle effect on them, whether that had anything to do with lack of taste and fluffiness i dont know. They almost hurt my teeth to eat they were that dried out. I couldnt manage much of it at all and I was very disappointed. I dont know how it could be got so wrong. I did even wonder if thats how fish and chips was served over this way!! Thankfully a visit to another chippy the next night made me happier as they got it spot on.”
