Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the Singapore-style dishes, singapore chow mein and Singapore king prawns, alongside sweet and sour king prawns, crispy duck pancakes, black pepper beef and spring rolls. Close behind are the huge portions, with one reviewer saying a large munchy box fed a family of three, and the reasonable prices. Several describe friendly, attentive staff, and one diner with a celiac daughter was reassured when a server went carefully through the menu. The conservatory and sea views also draw comments, and chicken and sweetcorn soup gets singled out as the best one reviewer has had. Not every visit went well. One reviewer found the fried rice in thick, cloggy lumps, the cashew nuts tasting off and the chicken unconvincing, and says the call to complain ended with the staff member hanging up after sending a photo of the chicken breasts. A longtime customer with a caravan nearby found staff irritable and rude and the food below its usual standard. One visitor remarks that the outside looks a bit sad and the inside is a lot of red.

“Ordered the large munchy box today and wow really big portions. Fed me, my wife and my son. Flavour is brilliant and was crispy and hot when we brought it home”

“AMAZING FOOD!! We were seated right away in the conservatory, the view was beautiful and we ordered singapore chow mein, sweet and sour king prawns, starters and more. Really fresh and delicious food, huge portions as well, my husband and I were able to share the egg fried rice. Drinks were reasonably priced as well and we got complimentary prawn crackers as soon as we sat down. Staff were super attentive and friendly, big thank you to Daisy who carefully went through the menu with us, really reassuring when someone knows the menu since my daughter is celiac. The restaurant is family owned since 2008, and Daisy with her mum are still striving for a good experience for their customers. Will definitely be back thank you xxx”

“We just had a top notch takeaway from here, aromatic crispy duck pancakes, orange chicken, black pepper beef, Singapore king prawns, House Special Chow Mein. The spicy dishes are very tasty and the less spicy ones are more bland, but still delicious if you want that. Very reasonable prices, excellent freshly cooked food. Can’t wait to get takeaway from here again.”

“I have had more Chinese meal than I can recall but I’ve never had one like this . It was inedible. The fried rice was just a lot of thick lumps of cloggy rice , the cashew nuts looked and tasted off and the chicken , well if that was chicken breast or any kind of chicken I’m from the moon . I did call and complain cos it wasn’t cheap but she hung up after sending me a picture of the alleged chicken breasts”

“Lovely setting overlooking the sea. Quick attentive service, typical Chinese decor. We had set menu at £29.95 per person. Chicken and sweetcorn soup, probably the best I have ever had. A bottle of wine for £18 also very good value in any UK restaurant”
