About Kitsu Sushi & Noodle Bar

Skewers give Kitsu Sushi & Noodle Bar a second string to its bow, with Kimo Chicken Liver and Pork Belly Iberico grilled alongside the sushi rolls that draw most diners to this Japanese restaurant on Victoria Rd in Tunbridge Wells. The kitchen works through around 30 dishes, covering sushi and noodles plus hot plates, bento boxes and a set lunch, with vegetarian choices worked through the list. Sharing platters are built large enough for three, which suits a table of friends splitting a meal. The dining room is small and decorated, and it grows loud once the evening fills up. Tables can be booked for dinner, and sushi is also prepared for collection. The restaurant opens Monday to Saturday and closes on Sundays, and it has stayed under the same ownership for a while.

Customer Review Summary

Sushi is the center of nearly every account, with the fish repeatedly described as fresh and of incredible quality, and several regulars calling it their favourite in the UK outside London. Portion sizes come up almost as often, from a platter that fed three to a set lunch praised as generous and delicious value. Close behind, the hot dishes draw their own following: one diner who skipped sushi entirely singles out the udon noodles and pork with prawn rolls, and others point to the bento boxes and the selection of hot plates. Staff are consistently described as friendly, welcoming and helpful, and a few note the food arrives without a long wait. Vegetarians in one group were reported extremely happy with the choices. The only note of reservation comes from a diner who found the small room a little loud during an evening visit, though they attributed it to the hour and still described the place as nicely decorated and clean. Several mention driving considerable distances, or ordering a weekly takeaway, to keep coming back.
