Quick info
About The Longstore Lemon Street
The Longstore Lemon Street is a steak house at 62 Lemon St in Truro, pairing a grill menu with a cocktail and wine list. Bone marrow old fashioneds sit alongside a 1.1kg steak sharer, which comes with two sides and sauces for the table to share. Seafood has its own place on the menu next to the steaks, so a meal can lean toward either. Pork belly arrives with salsa verde for those who want something other than beef. Cocktails and wine run through the drinks offering, so the bar works as part of the meal as well as before it. A specials board is available on request.

Customer Review Summary
Steak draws the most praise at The Longstore, from a Chateaubriand and a ribeye that one diner called the best steak he has ever had to a 1.1kg sharer with sides and sauces. Close behind are the burger with a generous chunk of pastrami, the pork belly with salsa verde, and seafood such as mussels, lemon sole and Thai red curry with red snapper. Reviewers also mention truffle macaroni and cheese, bone marrow old fashioneds, warm homemade crisps and doughnuts for dessert. Staff are described as friendly and attentive, and one diner with a food allergy says dessert was adapted without any problem. The main caveat is cost, with one reviewer finding prices a little high for the experience, though others call the food reasonably priced or great value. One reviewer found the calamari stringy. Several mention celebrations, and a complimentary Prosecco for a birthday and a free first ale for twin sons turning eighteen stand out.

“Delicious food, attentive staff and a really nice venue. The highlight of our visit to Truro, so thank you! Particularly grateful for the great handling of my food allergy by staff - dessert was adapted with no problem to ensure I could enjoy it safely, and I felt confident to eat here without concern, so thank you! My husband also commented that his ribeye steak was the best steak he's ever had.”

“10/10 Absolutely AMAZING. Food was superb and very reasonably priced considering the excellent quality. Friends of mine had the steak, mussels, burgers and pork. All loved it. Would 100% recommend. Server was also great and my steak sando was £21 including a side of greens.”

“Longstore Truro! The Chateaubriand steak was absolutely exceptional—cooked to perfection and full of flavour. We’ve celebrated our anniversary here for the last five years, and every single visit has been faultless. The food is consistently outstanding, and the service is second to none. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Even when they’re really busy, they still take the time to have a chat and make you feel valued, which gives the restaurant such a warm and personal atmosphere. Longstore has become our special place for anniversaries, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. We already can’t wait to come back!”

“Popped in for an early dinner, people queuing to wait for the doors to open at 5pm. Warm greeting, I had not booked but was accommodated at a table. Menu has great choice. Ask for the specials board for more choice. I had the lemon sole and roasted sweet potato as a side. Nicely presented and flavours delicious. Decor nicely done throughout the restaurant. I’d definitely go again.”

“Date night! This is our favourite spot for date night! Food is just incredible and I think great value! We had the 1.1kg steak sharer with two sides and sauces! Just stunning plus the warm homemade crisps whilst we waited for our steak were out of this world!!!”
