Customer Review Summary
Burgers draw the most praise at this harbourside diner, with reviewers singling out a black and blue burger with plenty of blue cheese and another with Brie, bacon and chilli jam, and describing portions as huge. Close behind are the milkshakes, where the vanilla and the bueno get specific mentions, though one reviewer expected a thicker shake with more ice cream. Several mention the harbour view with inside or outside seating, and the sixties and eighties music. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and welcoming, including a team that was patient with a family's autistic sons across two visits. A hot large coffee and a full breakfast also earn praise. The sharpest complaint comes from one group of four who describe being told only that menus were available, then met with a rude tone and sarcasm over tap water. One of them says the kitchen door was open and looked unclean, and that his burger arrived 10 to 15 minutes before his friends' meals, leaving him finished before they began. He called the bun and produce cheap.

“As a group of 4, 23 year old lads we usually will eat anything anywhere with little to no complaints whatsoever. However, this is the first time I’ve ever logged into an old email account just to write a review, it was that bad. The whole experience. As we walked in we were told ‘menus are there’. Nothing else. So we waited, assuming we were just meant to be seated. After 2/3 minutes the same worker came over and asked if we were alright in an awfully rude tone. All it would’ve taken is a ‘sit yourself down anywhere and order at the counter when you’re ready’. Is it really that hard? Place was empty anyways, not like they had owt else to do. Surprised they didn’t ask us to come back and cook the food ourselves. After looking at the menu we were hopeful, bar the fact my mortgage was cheaper. We then went up and ordered, all of us went for burgers and tap water. We were then met with a ‘could’ve told me cos I would’ve just given you a jug’ after she poured us all individual waters. In that same awful tone as previous. We found this funny because nowhere on the menu did it say that everything was served with a side of sarcasm and derision. Went to the toilet shortly after this and the kitchen door was wide open so naturally looked in. Strait of Hormuz is looking better than that place. No standards whatsoever. Gordon Ramsay would have a field day here. After waiting a short while my burger came but my friends food all came 10/15 minutes later so I’d already finished by the time they even started eating. May aswell have just come on a solo date. Don’t even get me started on the food. Cheap produce stuck in between a 80p Tesco bun with less structural integrity than the mountains in Nepal. Horrific. All in all probably the worst dining experience we’ve ever had and ever will have. I run a funeral directors and I’ve seen more smiling over talk of dead relatives than this place. If you like tragic food, terrible hygiene standards and awful attitude then this is the place for you!”

“Really nice burgers and good size too, could have easily had nachos or loaded fries, all looked good. Fast and friendly service. Staff were very welcoming to us and to everyone that came in after too. Beautiful view of the harbour with inside or outside seating as well.”

“Stopped by and had a black and blue burger here. I must say the quantity of the blue cheese in the burger was perfect. Plenty in it. My wife had another burger with Brie bacon and chilly jam in. She said it was lovely as well. The place has indoor and outdoor seating. The menu has a good amount of options. The waitress who served us I think we overheated she was quite new there. She was lovely and friendly smiling the whole time when taking checking in on us. Shame I didn’t get any pictures of the burger.”

“Really nice place to sit and enjoy the view of the harbour. The milkshakes are AMAZING. We got the vanilla which was delicious and the bueno which was so hazelnutty. Kelly made us feel so welcome and served us with a smile. Also really liked the music they played. Great vibe and nice view of all the boats. 👍🏼”
