Customer Review Summary
Reviewers mostly describe late orders, with delivery and collection both running far behind the promised time, even on preorders. Several say cooking did not seem to start until they arrived to collect, and one drove to pick up an order and then waited in the shop. Calls about delays draw the sharpest complaints. Multiple reviewers say they were spoken to rudely and hung up on, one was told an order was cancelled and then not cancelled, and a few received no apology, refund or gesture. On the food, beef and king prawn chow mein is described as dry and in smaller boxes lately, while others report soggy crispy chicken, wet pancake rolls, salty crispy noodle chicken and squid that was batter over very little. Another finds the sauce thick and salty, though portions were large. One regular calls the food normally lovely and praises a young woman on the counter as polite. Customers of many years describe a decline, and one caller was hung up on twice while asking for an explanation.

“Awful and inedible, crispy chicken was soggy, pancake rolls were almost wet, crispy noodle chicken was basically just salt, chicken rice tasted of washing up liquid, honestly just terrible!! Called and screamed at by a Chinese lady who hung up! Good luck!!”

“Waited 2 hours for a simple one person meal mid week. Squid wasnt even edible! Like batter over a bit of plastic! Was also cold and just couldn't eat it! Costs alot of money for what?? Really not impressed!”

“Order food waited for 2hour, called up to be firstly rudely spoken to and told my order is cancelled and is not tuning up then hung up on. Called back and told order is not cancelled but would be waiting 45 to 1 1/2 hours till food arrives or I can collect. If I collect I have to wait in line then once at front of queue they will start order and that would take 45+ minutes I asked can they not start now as been waiting for 2hour a was filled you’ll be refunded and then hung up a second time”

“Using this place weekly for years, disappointed to see once again the portion size has been reduced for the last 3 weeks for both beef and king prawn Chow mein, for over £8 I expect the box to be full …now it is less than 3/4 full, Really?? for the sake of a handful of bean sprouts or noodles, also very dry of late? Penny pinching will lose customers……….”
