  “I visited Subway in the Thistles Shopping Centre and was genuinely shocked at the food hygiene standards I witnessed. A staff member wore the same single-use glove while serving at least four different customers. During that time, they handled utensils, operated the oven, opened and closed the store-room door, touched door handles, collected stock, and then went straight back to preparing food — all without changing gloves. Single-use gloves are supposed to reduce contamination. Here, they were being used in a way that actively spread it. Watching someone touch multiple surfaces around the shop and then go straight back to handling food for customers was alarming and frankly unacceptable. This didn’t look like a one-off lapse. It appeared to be normal practice while I was there, suggesting a serious disregard for even the most basic food hygiene principles. I left with zero confidence in the safety of the food being served. Based on what I observed, I would strongly advise others to think twice before eating here unless they are comfortable with very questionable food handling standards.”

  “Ordered a baked potato from them and it was missing the cheese that i orderedon it... I ordered online aswell so I couldn't go back in to fix it. The food I got delivered was good despite part of the order missing.”

  “Good jacket Spuds, bought two with basic fillings but well cooked and not burnt. Only recently discovered. Could initially locate anywhere in stirling that did them as take away. Still available coming up to shop closing time on a weekday. Had wanted to try Darnley coffee shop but they were closed before 4pm.”

  “went into subway for my lunch after shopping, it wasn’t busy for it being a saturday but the staff that were making the sandwich’s were genuinely just not paying attention round about them. once the member of staff came over he asked what i would like and proceeded to make it however he just put cheese on it without me asking then continued to toast it without asking me. once my sandwich was in the toaster him and the other man that was on the till then proceeded to speak to eachother in another language whilst the timer is going off for my sandwich. overall i found it extremely rude the way they act around customers as if they don’t have a care in the world.”

  “Abysmal service in this subway, like previous reviews states, I walked in at 1630 on a Saturday to a massive queue. Only one member of staff was serving, another was hurriedly cleaning so she could close off the seating area so no one else …”

  “Thanks to our amazing sandwich artist Taylor we had a lovely sandwich this morning. She was up for a chat whilst she made our sandwiches. She was even able to offer advice to my friend who had never been to subway before. She really made our experience one to remember.”

  “Arrived at 3.40pm on a Saturday to 90% of the tables with chairs on them. There was one 4 seater table left open, and one of my daughters made her way towards it to sit (she has a rare bone condition so sits whilst we order), to which a female staff member shouted abruptly 'THAT TABLES CLOSED' as she walked past, not even glancing our way or making eye contact. Where exactly are customers meant to sit then? The staff members were all very hostile. It just was a horrible experience so we left. Some customer service training and common decency wouldn't go a miss. Will not return.”

  “The food tastes good and is satisfying however it seems to keep giving me a sore stomach to put it politely. This has caused me to contemplate if I should go back or not. Furthernore there is a guy with a big beard working there which should not be allowed around food it's just not hygienic. Otherwise the service is good and the staff are friendly.”
