About Jahangir Tandoor Restaurant
Jahangir Tandoor Restaurant is a halal Indian restaurant in St Andrews at 116 South St, run as a curry house with photos of visiting celebs on its walls. The kitchen serves Pakistani and Indian dishes, including a tandoori lamb chop and both a vegetarian thali and a chicken thali, each offering a bit of several dishes on one plate. Garlic naan is on hand as the bread, and vegan options are on the menu. A set lunch menu gives a shorter way to eat, and the bar pours beer on tap and wine to go with the food. The restaurant opens daily.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the thali, with both the vegetarian and chicken versions praised as a generous way to sample several dishes. Close behind are the tandoori lamb chops, named by two reviewers, along with the garlic chicken tikka, a homestyle chicken curry on the bone, and garlic naan and nan bread. One reviewer from New Delhi calls it the only Indian restaurant in St Andrews worth spending money at, and another says the starters and mains are reminiscent of home cooking. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and welcoming, including toward a family with a young son and a table of nine who all left very full. A few mention a healthy pour of tasty wine and ice cold beer on tap, and one notes good options for vegans. Reviewers also remark on a clean dining room with a fish pond built into the floor. One suggests booking ahead, though another, without a booking on a packed Friday night, was squeezed in by the front of house team.
