About Gulshan Tandoori Restaurant
Sundays at Gulshan Tandoori Restaurant bring an all-you-can-eat buffet, laid out with around 15 items for one set price and running from midday through to late evening, which makes it workable for groups sitting down together. The Sutton Road Indian restaurant opens daily, with a kitchen that covers the classic curry range, including butter chicken, jalfrezi and chicken madras. Chicken tandoori appears on the buffet spread alongside sides such as onion bhajis and Bombay potatoes, and naan is ordered to accompany, peshwari included. Chicken Biryani sits on the main menu for those ordering a la carte. Portions come large.

Customer Review Summary
The Sunday all you can eat buffet draws the most repeat mention, with reviewers pointing to chicken tandoori, chicken madras and naan among the spread and calling it good value for money, including one group of nine who found the food about what they expected for the price. Close behind sit the takeaways, praised for arriving quickly in large portions, with one regular singling out the butter chicken and jalfrezi as well as decent onion bhajis and peshwari naan. Several also describe friendly, welcoming staff, including the owner, and note that a request to leave garlic out of a dish was handled without fuss. Not everyone is convinced: one longtime customer says recent orders have tasted flavourless with chicken that wasn't tender and a korma that lacked creaminess, and another was disappointed by Bombay potatoes with a weak sauce. One buffet diner reports a waiter with a heavy cold and cola served from a two litre bottle.

“Still my favourite Indian food in the area. Got a takeaway deal for two with various curries, decent onion bajhis, peshwari naan. Butter chicken and jalfraze were top par. Delivery driver was prompt and courteous. My only criticism was the Bombay potatoes, our first time trying them. They were cooked to perfect consistency but the sauce actually tasted weak and of very little. Aside from that, usual top par service 👌”

“Used to really like this place but it seems to have gone down hill a bit last times I’ve ordered and ordered the other day. Everything just seems a bit flavourless and chicken wasn’t tender. Korma not creamy etc etc. will give a while before trying again hopefully just a blip.”
