Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the Shakshuka, described as full of flavour and perfectly cooked, with the Big Veggie Breakfast alongside it on a breakfast visit. Close behind are the tuna melt and birria toastie, and the drinks earn their own praise: the homemade Tropical Dream, a salted caramel latte, fresh orange juice and a nice cocktail selection. A few say the kitchen handles dietary needs well, with one gluten free diner and another with food restrictions both noting the options offered. Diners describe a cosy mix of old and modern pub, with board games, large open windows and friendly staff, and one singles out the helpful, knowledgeable bar staff. The criticisms are small: one reviewer found service a bit slow, and another found the sweetcorn fritters a little overdone. Families say the kids' menu has good choices and the meals include a drink, and children get a free pot of hummus with carrot and bread sticks while they wait.

“Visit this restaurant semi-regularly, often with our children. Menu has a really good range of choices for both food and drink which are always excellent and very good value for money. Staff are friendly and service is efficient. Ambience is lovely and the restaurant is clean. Kids menu also has good choices and I love that the kids meals include a drink, and a free pot of hummus with carrot and bread sticks to eat while they wait. There's also colouring for them to do, and a selection of games and books for both kids and adults. Thoroughly recommend.”

“Visited Santo Lounge for breakfast and ordered the Big Veggie Breakfast and the Shakshuka. The fresh orange juice was lovely and the coffee was good too. Overall, the food was enjoyable, although the sweetcorn fritters were a little overdone. Overall, a lovely neighbourhood café-bar that offers good food, good drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere.”

“We have tried different foods here and have yet to be disappointed. And the environment is quite cosy. A mix of old and modern pub. The board games are a great toich. A bit slow service but otherwise a big thumbs up.”
