Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly welcome from owners, bar staff and locals, and the drinks being cheaper than other pubs in Seahouses. Beer gets repeated mentions, including a pint of Cruzcampo and the pub's own Schooner beer, and several praise the choice. Sport is the close second draw, with multiple TV screens for football, horse racing and rugby, plus two dartboards. Live music comes up too, with one describing a visiting band from Newcastle who had people up dancing, though the singer wasn't judged the best. Dog owners say staff made a fuss of their dog and brought water. The one drawback reviewers raise is that there is no real ale and no parking nearby. Several describe a packed Saturday night where the bar staff stayed chatty despite the rush, and one visitor returned for the next three nights of their stay.

“The pub was great fun! There was an incredible singer who really got the crowd up on their feet and singing away. There was great service and a special shout out to the landlady who was so kind and chatty. Deffo pop in for an evening if you’re in the area!”

“A proper local pub. The owner and staff are lovely and friendly as are the locals. I was there by myself listening to the band. The singer wasn't the best, but he did his best. He sang a range of song's and had people up dancing. The band wasn't local, they had travelled up from Newcastle.”

“Didn't indulge in the food , but the owners and bar staff was absolutely welcoming warm and friendly. Great choice of beers . And probably the cheapest in the seahouses. It definitely became our choice for the week just for the friendly atmosphere.”

“Popped in for a couple of pints with my elderly parents, was a lovely, traditional local pub, very friendly service with sport on the tvs in the bar, the prices for drinks were cheaper than the other pubs in the village, would recommend a visit if in Seahouses.”

“The last family owned, traditional pub in Seahouses. Not on the "High street" but very close to the harbour (on the way to Swallow Fish shop). Reasonably priced drinks, sky,TNT sports, live music at weekends, weekly quiz night on Thursdays. Great friendly atmosphere with a good mix of locals and visitors. Well behaved dogs welcome. There is a puppy on the premises who is very friendly. We do not hold a restaurant licence therefore Children allowed in until 8.30 pm. The staff will advise you of this when you arrive so that there are no misunderstandings.”
