Customer Review Summary

The chilli burger is the draw most reviewers return to, described as juicy and full of flavour, with one diner who has a sensitive stomach reporting it sat well afterward. Close behind is the Gonzo burger, and the fries get steady attention: chilli fries loaded with chillies and coriander, plus rosemary, Cajun and voodoo fries, with one reviewer preferring the Cajun to the rosemary. Vegan and vegetarian burgers earn praise too, including from a lifelong vegetarian who calls theirs the best they have had. The house pale ale, Half Man! Half Brother!, is called crisp and refreshing, and the slow slaw tasted fresh to one diner. The main complaint is cost. Two reviewers call it expensive, and one says the burgers arrived without fries, felt small at three bites, and came with a mandatory service charge. One reviewer says the servers could be more organised, and another reports the place gets busy at peak hours. Most describe the staff as friendly, and one recalls a manager keeping the restaurant open for a late arrival shortly before closing.

“Literally the best burger I’ve had in the UK! I’m not exaggerating! We got to the shop on a Sunday at around 8:30 PM and even though they were closing in 30 min the manager very kindly kept the restaurant open so we could experience the best patty ever. I had chilli Nelson if I remember the name correctly and it honestly changed my mind about burgers. Also the after taste was amazing something I pay a lot of attention to!”

“They simply know how to do burgers. Don't know if I've ever had better, they just taste amazing, great texture, flavor, everything. Preferred the Cajun fries to the rosemary ones, but both are good. The slow slaw tasted extremely fresh. I would say the servers can work both on their friendliness as well as organization, but still a great place.”

“Had a fantastic family meal at Half Man Half Burger, and honestly, the food was just incredible. I ordered the Gonzo burger, and it was easily one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. Perfectly juicy and packed with flavor. My wife and I also shared a portion of their chilli fries, which were phenomenal, coming out loaded with chillies for a nice kick to the tastebuds and the coriander for a lovely fresh taste. To wash it all down, I tried their own "Half Man! Half Brother!" American Pale Ale. It’s a crisp, refreshing 4.7% APA that cuts through the rich food perfectly, and the custom can art is brilliant. Beyond the amazing food, the service was so friendly and welcoming, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it too, which always makes a family meal out a lot easier. We will definitely be back. If you want serious burgers and great drinks, this is the place to go!”

“The burgers we ordered were nice however, for £14 each, I would've expected fries on the side and the burger to be more than 3 bites!! Service was fantastic (as it should be with a mandatory service charge!!) But take nothing away, made to feel welcome. Atmosphere was 'ok'. Taking everything into account....2 burgers, 2 fries, a beer, a regular wine and 2 soft drinks....£60 is abt on the steep side!!”
