  “The terrace had a nice atmosphere and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately the Pizza Capricciosa was very bland and lacked flavor. It's a shame because the service and ambiance were good but the food was disappointing.”

  “Ciao! I can't believe I've been living in Rye for a year and only recently discovered Simply Italian. My husband and I really value great service. From the moment we walked in, Jordan and Theresa gave us such a warm welcome, and looked after us! The calamari is fresh, lightly battered, and served with an amazing sauce. The Salame pizza is my favourite. Perfectly crisp, thin base, the topping-to-cheese ratio is spot on. We've also had the Spaghetti Bolognese, Spaghetti Carbonara, and the Lobster Ravioli, and every dish has been exceptional. I couldn't resist trying the cheesecake either, and paired with a cold Poretti. The prices are incredibly reasonable. You can taste the love that goes into every dish. Guess where I will be having my birthday dinner... ;) Simply Italian has gained customers for life. Grazie! 🇮🇹”

  “Food was superb! Had a couple of starters and mains, all very good. The service was friendly, but quite slow we thought. I’d definitely come back when in the area because the food is great, couldn’t fault it. Really relaxed atmosphere, we were just sat next to a loud young family. Thanks and see you soon.”

  “Was in the lovely town of Rye on Sunday and fancied an Italian lunch. Found this amazing restaurant in a super location. As soon as we went through the door we were met by a lovely young assistant who showed us a variety of great tables to choose from. One sat we were looked after, drinks to the table really quickly. From ordering our starters to our main meals, bothe were brought to the table with a smile and professional waiter. Absolutely lovely little Gem of a restaurant amazing food very very reasonable prices. Great experience, thank you all and we will definitely be back. Best regards, David & Susan. Appledore Kent.”

  “We hadn't booked but they found us a table in the courtyard. This was good because it was a very warm evening, but a very slight downside was traffic noise. Service was excellent. The food was extremely good - felt like proper Italian home cooking. Reasonably priced. Would we recommend? Absolutely!”

  “Staying near Rye for our daughter's 40th birthday. Lovely food and friendly staff Parking a bit of a problem. Rye has turned into a bit of a cut through for cars and motorbikes. Not what we remembered.”

  “We stayed in Camber Sands Rye for 3 days and we came back to this restaurant twice for the lovely food, great decor and atmosphere and amazingly friendly staff. But it was the tiramisu that made us comeback right the following day 😋 Good prices for the quality of the food. Everything was so delicious! Highly recommended and can’t wait ti comeback!”

  “I was there Saturday 12/07, food was nice service was bad. Our server refused to let us move inside despite having a child who was cold. There were plenty of tables inside. She refused to have a candle lit on the cheesecake to celebrate my wife's birthday claiming it was too windy. Not going there again. Notice the candle hole on the cheesecake. Reply to the comments from the manager: first of all the other comments are from my friend, second she suggested to light the candle at the table after we ate half of the cheesecake. I guess I'll eat Italian food in another that thinks the customer is right.”
