About Arens at The Six Bells - Restaurant & Event Venue
Arens at The Six Bells is a bar and grill and event venue on Ducks Hill Road in Ruislip, set in a property from the 1300s. The kitchen cooks modern European and international dishes. The Sunday Roast comes with Yorkshire pudding, the chef's veg of the day and gravy in silver jugs. The Ultimate Mixed Roast platter brings together sirloin, pork, chicken and lamb, and pigs in blankets and stuffing can be added as sides. At the bar, Pink Gin cocktails are served. A private dining room gives groups a space of their own, and the refurbished main room has a double-height ceiling. On Saturday nights a DJ plays, and guests can request songs.

Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast draws the most praise, led by the Ultimate Mixed Roast, a generous platter of sirloin, pork, chicken and lamb with Yorkshire pudding, pigs in blankets, stuffing and two silver jugs of gravy. One diner calls the roast potatoes crisp, seasoned and fluffy, and another singles out the pork porchetta and lamb drizzled with rosemary and mint. Close behind is the refurbishment, described as beautiful and plush, with masses of light through a double volume ceiling. Reviewers also mention the Pink Gin cocktail, a chicken tikka burger, and cod and chips ordered for a child, and several like the garden and playground for kids. Staff are called friendly and helpful, and a few note a DJ on Saturdays and an interactive Easter bunny. The recurring caveat is cost. One reviewer calls the post-refit prices a sting and another finds it a bit expensive, though both mention big portions or call it a treat. One couple celebrating a wedding anniversary say the DJ played the song they requested.

“We've been coming here for a few years now - everything is very good and the food is great. The staff looks after you, they are friendly and always provide a great service. 100% this is the best place to eat around Hillingdon / Ricky/ Watford. It also has a garden so the kids can play in the shade without having to worry about cars. The quality of the food is still good - most places don't mentain the quality after a while, but this is not the case with Arens”

“Looking to impress someone or celebrating a special occasion, then Arens is the perfect local venue in Ruislip. Recent renovations have transformed this establishment into a plush, stylish, visually Indulgent space with masses of light filtering in through double volume ceiling, that is absolutely spectacular. And I have no even started on the food yet... Our party of 6 consisted of some serious foodies who live to eat, including one who is a chef himself. We were pleased that not just Sunday Roast options were available so choice was far from limited. Considering that, five of us elected to go for the Sunday selections, whilst one in our party went for a rump. Three orders of the "Ultimate Mixed Roast" did not dissapoint as the generous platters arrived. Succulent cuts of sirloin, pork, chicken and lamb were plated along with Yorkshire pudding, chefs veg of the day accompanied by two silver jugs of their legendary gravy. Sides of pigs in blankets and stuffing complimented this feast. My cousin opted for the Pork Porchetta, and I am a sucker for lamb, so discovering it was drizzled with rosemary and mint, it was a slam dunk for me! Seriously the most memorable and delicious Sunday lunch that I have had in years. Judging by the little that was left on the other plates, I believe my companions felt the same. Everyone was delighted by the whole experience from the setting, decor, atmosphere, service and quality of everything. I could fault nothing apart from wishing I had also tried the Ultimate Mixed Roast, which I will certainly be back for soon. I will be dragging my son for a special treat around his birthday. Nothing like a Sunday Roast to warm the heart strings of family, even if you have not made it yourself...”

“We have been there yesterday for a lunch with friends. This place is great for children due to the outdoor area with playground and the children menu too. I had a Sunday roast and we took the cod with chips on the side since our little one wanted to have fish and chips which wasn’t included in the children menu. Food was delicious and portions very generous. There is also a nice area outside which will be lovely for summer while children are playing. I will definately come back here and recommend the place to friends”
