About Goodview Chinese Takeaway
Goodview Chinese Takeaway serves the Chinese takeaway range from 12 Portway Rd in Rowley Regis, taking orders at the counter on a walk-in basis. Curries run through much of the menu, with diced chicken curry and beef curry among the dishes ordered, and rice comes alongside most of them, either boiled or as chicken fried rice. Prawn dishes feature across the list, from prawn foo young to prawn crackers and a prawn cocktail, and noodles include Singapore chow mein. Chips sit on the menu next to the Chinese dishes and are paired into combinations such as steak and chips. Orders are bagged up ready to carry home. The shop opens daily in the evenings.

Customer Review Summary
Reviews split sharply, and most are negative about the food itself. Several diners describe hard, cardboard-like chips and hard rice, and one says a steak and chips left their father nearly sick. Others report a Spanish omelette with two meats that smelled off and unadvertised prawns and mushrooms, a chicken breast with slop for coating, tasteless sweet and sour sauce and noodles, and a Singapore chow mein so bad it went uneaten. One caller says the phone went unanswered after five attempts.

“Late night order, first time using this place and the food was okay. Open much later than other local Chinese restaurants. Only had a 3 in 1 tray though, shop inside was a bit run down. Friendly staff”

“Always use Goodview and never had a bad meal, the food is always fresh, tasty and hot. Well packed in the bag so no spillages. The staff are all polite and helpful and the price is reasonable in comparison to other takeaways. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thumbs up 👍 from me. Picture of Boiled Rice, Diced Chicken Curry, Prawn Foo Young, Mini Spring Rolls and Prawn Crackers.”
