  “First couple of visits was fine but as we went to towards the close last thursday it closes this thursday 10th September very limited Menu etc and a kinda not care attitude and service was slow unfortunately.”

  “Had a really nice time at the beefeater today. The short rib was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. Liam looked after us and ensured we had a great time. It’s devastating that the place is closing but I’m glad we were able to have a nice time today”

  “So sad to hear this is closing soon in September 2026 Today I was greeted kindly with the staff and was spoken politely and got great customer service. Me and my partner ordered 2 steak meals with a request to have garlic butter and even though wasn’t on menu they went above and beyond to do that for us The kids meals was perfectly sized and was loved by the little ones As I said this is sad to hear this place is closing this is such a welcoming atmosphere and full of kind staff and food is amazing Thank you Shane”

  “I had a good meal today with an elderly friend and I was pleasantly surprised as overall the food was good. However when it came to the dessert, my friend and I both chose the same option and the waiter brought us one larger portion to share. I did not say anything but I don`t think it was appropriate to assume that we wanted to share. I usually say if I am going to share my dessert with someone. I think this is a mistake and I would ask the Beefeater not to make this mistake again. A response from the restaurant would have been appreciated.”

  “Really good steak, however service was very slow, we arrived just after 4pm and didn't get out until near 7pm. Also we were overcharged on an item on our bill and our waitress Linda said "There's nothing I can do about that". This was then sorted out by the man behind the counter who came to a solution to get the lunch menu discount correctly applied to the item on the bill. Linda then said 'Sorry it's because I don't have a management key" which she should have just said in the first place! We really liked her until then! Still though, best ribeye I've had in some time.”

  “Had a lovely meal with my family, I ordered the ribeye steak which was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Our waitress was lovely, we had a really nice evening. Only negative is the toilets, they really need a revamp.”

  “Festive Feast with Friends at Beefeater, Southcote. Christmas Eve called for a festive get-together with friends, and Beefeater provided the perfect setting. Snagging a table for six was a Christmas miracle in itself! We kicked things off with their starter deal – £17.99 for four dishes. The chicken wings were a tad over-fried, but the garlic bread and halloumi fries were spot on. Mains were a real treat. The chicken burger was juicy, the fish and chips were classic, and the salmon with asparagus was cooked to perfection. But the real star of the show? The mushy peas! Service was friendly and efficient, our server (didn't catch her name, sadly!) kept everything moving smoothly despite the festive rush. Overall, a great spot for a pre-Christmas catch-up with friends. Good food, good company, and good times. Happy days indeed!”

  “We've got very nice dinner last Sunday. We ordered surf on turf , burger and kids chicken pops . Burger was absolutely delicious!!! Highly recommended ! Surf on turf was very good also, just the steak wasn't cooked as I wanted. I ordered medium rare and one side was good but other side was blue , by the way taste delicious . Kids meal was good and big portion :)) Big shout out for front of staff !!! Amazing service , very king and helpful . Bravo !!”

  “Excellent food and great service. Had a veggie roast, which I don’t see on menu often, and only downside was the roast potatoes could have been better. Visited for a one off for a family gathering, and was pleasantly surprised and overall everyone very happy with their meals and had a very nice time.”

  “An excellent eatery and bar with great service by very helpful and knowledgeable staffs. The ambience was great and place was clean and well decorated for Christmas celebrations. The male toilets were clean but did smell awful! Definitely in need of some disinfectant. The floor carpet leading to the male toilets was filthy looking.”
