  “Staff management is zero!! If you walk in to this restaurant looks like a bazaar!! Horrible and rude staff can't even speak English the restaurant is super dirty and filthy!! They should really close it asap KFC has better reputation than this. Staff doesn't respect the customers at all!! Staff should be changed. If they can't communicate in English!!”

  “I had a very disappointing experience at this KFC. The restaurant was dirty, with tables left messy and rubbish not being cleared away. The staff were also rude and unwelcoming, which made the visit even worse. Good customer service and cleanliness are basic expectations, and unfortunately this branch failed on both. I hope management addresses these issues and provides better training so customers are treated with respect.”

  “I went in to dine in and have food with friends the temperature was 35 outside as hottest day in reading on a Tuesday afternoon went for lunch decide to sit in kfc and enjoy. As soon as I walked in the restaurant could feel the heat I went upstairs it was like a oven the Air con was not on literally me and my friend were dying with heat so u decided to go and seapk to the staff member on the till I explained it is very hot upstairs it's unacceptable as all other restaurant have Acir con he said in a rude way. Oh it was bank holiday yesterday we used to much of Air con electric to expensive if it's hot why did you order the food sit downstairs it's cooler he said. As downstairs no tables and all tables disgusting dirty. I never come to this kfc always visit the one in early this kfc have bad staff rude abrupt and also very dirty Pay the money for food which is not good quality also listen to rude staff I understand it's very hot but treat everyone with respect. Also the toilets not open won't give code to use toilet this kfc needs to close I'm going to inform the council and tell them the standard of cleaning and food is very low”

  “Just came to Reading from London and stopped off in KFC, got helped by a wonderful lady called Tracey who went up and beyond to help me choose a suitable meal for my little ones, offered me a cup of ice in this mad heat. She is next to nothing, a hard working individual who is also polite, knowledgeable and up friendly 100%. Keep up the good work Tracey xx”

  “Great! Changed furniture attractive and comfortable for family. Most significantly, was served lunch and supported by a friendly well engaged staff member Tracey on named bage. She was continuously consistent with cleaning and clearing tables of rubbish waste. Gloves in hand with big smile. She explicitly shows the happy to help character and approachable personality.Kudos . It appears the branch is completely overhauled with Touch Screen Self Services. Reduced time for ready to collect after payment. Thanks again to Tracey. Nice music in the background. Enjoy my lunch time.”

  “Typical KFC experience — the food was hot, fresh, and exactly what you expect when you’re craving fried chicken. Service was quick and the staff were friendly enough, even though it was fairly busy. The place itself was clean and the order came out without much of a wait. The only downside is that there’s no parking available due to the location, so it’s not the easiest place to stop if you’re driving. Aside from that, it’s a solid spot if you’re nearby and want a quick bite.”

  “If I could give the service 0 stars wallahi billahi tillahi I would, took me one hour to get my damn food on top of that my food was cold the chicken tasted like pigeon meat now don’t ask me how I know what pigeon meat taste like. I recommend not to come here I wouldn’t be suprised if they spike your chicken while at it. TS is not finger licking good. And also the place is a mess.”

  “The best KFC in reading with amazing staff amazing atmosphere. I ordered a burger meal it tasted good and i got regular popcorn free as a students discount. The staff is so polite and friendly. I enjoyed the food. Everyone should try here it has amazing offers with amazing food”

  “Updated: 15/04/2025. KFC had a responded to me, requesting that I click a link to resolve matters. Something which I did before making this review and as I was not happy with the treatment I received from the KFC care Squad , who should be called “ KF-Careless Squad “ . Did nothing to rectify or offer any form of compensation for my terrible experience. So unless you are going to actually address the customer correctly, don’t try adding cute words to my review to hide your flaws. ——————————————————————— Actual review Awful experience. I did not want to leave this terrible review, but after reaching out to the KFC care squad and not getting compensated for my experience, I have no choice but to let it out. The card machines at the tils were not working. The toilets were not available. The mash was a mandatory order in a 10 pcs share bucket, but for some reason the mash had to be denied due to health and safety issues I guess, so I was given additional fries like had originally requested, but was denied upon first request. No napkins were given , no condiments were offered. No paper trays were given to a family of five who have just purchased a 10pms share bucket . Are we supposed to put the chicken and fires onto the dirt tv filthy tables. The so called salad was dirty lettuce in a tub with an inch of dressing ? Shocking The staff were so miserable and unmotivated . My order was delayed from the start, it’s clearly on my receipt . As I waited a lady came to the counter and requested cerium chicken pieces. And she was denied, so she questioned this , the staff said it’s policy not to listen to the customer and give what we wish. She said well I have been to numerous kfc restaurants and never had an issue before. The staff said well this is a halal restaurant so it’s different management here . The lady requested her money . The manager had to be called . He couldn’t be bothered to do refund so offered the lady 2 out of the 4 pieces of chicken to her preference. She said no. He said what about 3 pieces then , she said no. He said ok all 4 pieces as you like. By now she was frustrated and just wanted to leave with her money. A halal restaurant should not judge the customer differently . After all it’s stil kfc. Or put on the door . Halal KFC Halal Rules. All kfc restaurants should be treated the same in the UK.”
