Customer Review Summary
Chilli beef is the dish reviewers return to most, with one calling the crispy shredded version their test of a Chinese takeaway and another saying it is spot on every time. Close behind are chicken satay, served as skewers with beansprouts and rice, and salt and pepper chips. Chicken chow mein, Singapore chow mein, special fried rice and sweet and sour chicken balls also draw praise, and one reviewer calls the ribs very tasty and the curry sauce nice and spicy. Portions are described as generous. The recurring complaint is cost and extras. Two reviewers found the plain egg fried rice disappointing, one noting it had no egg, and another says the rice and curry sauce cost more than anything else on a basic meal. One was charged a delivery fee despite ordering above the free delivery minimum. One reviewer reports the owner knocking on their window demanding payment after a bank transfer had been sent, and calls the food average. Several mention polite delivery drivers and meals arriving on time and still piping hot.

“Friendly greeting, quick service and reasonable prices. My test with a Chinese takeaway is crispy shredded chilli beef. Which they made so well. I will be a returning customer.”

“We were dubious due to past Chinese takeaways unknown to us.... But this was excellent 👌 so nice. I had chicken satay skewers with beansprouts and rice 🌾 fantastic! My partner enjoyed his chicken chow mein and chips. We had prawn crackers too. Can't fault the place and will definitely return when in the area again .”

“Good size portions arrived on time and still hot. The food was very tasty but the egg fried rice at £5 and with no egg, was a disappointment and although our order was over the £25 stipulated for free delivery we were charged a delivery fee albeit just £2.”

“Wow. While being on holiday close by we decided to have a Chinese meal. All we can say is we had the tastiest Chinese meal we have ever had. We had Special fried rice, Singapore Chow Mein, Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls in Batter and chips. All was cooked beautifully and was still piping hot when we got back to where we were staying. Would we return there, Absolutely without a doubt.”

“If I could give the owners of this establishment less than 1 star then I would. Chinese was ordered and delivered around 8:30pm, only to find the owner of the restaurant banging on my window demanding payment, which was sent via bank transfer 3 minutes after the delivery was received. Once left, I called the shop to be told they’d received the payment. No apology, no acceptance of their mistake. If you can’t understand that it can take up to two hours for a bank transfer to be received, don’t offer that as a form of payment. Food is bang average at best as well. Stay clear, unless you enjoy Chinese men that can’t speak to his co-owner about received payments at your door demanding more than one payment for a low quality Chinese. Two of the worst business owners I’ve ever come across and I’ve met some dodgy ones.”
