About Asiad
Asiad is an Asian fusion restaurant and cocktail bar at 33 Esplanade in Porthcawl, built around a tapas-style menu of small plates. The kitchen sends out Korean cauliflower, crispy beef and spring rolls, and a lunchtime menu of small plates is also served. Sofas face the sea, giving guests a view of the water while they order from the cocktail list. A live singer performs on some evenings. Dogs are welcome, so guests can bring a pet along. Reservations are required.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the small plates, singling out the Korean cauliflower and crispy beef, with the spring rolls also named. Cocktails and a sea view from the sofas draw praise, and the lunchtime deal gets credit for value. The one sharp complaint: a live singer belting out "I predict a riot" at a volume that drove one couple to leave mid-meal, though another enjoyed the song choices.

“Invited for a spontaneous meal & have to say what a treat. A very relaxed & well presented restaurant that manages to achieve a modern, high end but very comfortable & welcoming environment. The menu is tapas based, the items are priced at the upper level, but don’t be fooled by the line ‘small plates’ as they aren’t. And the quality & flavour is top end. We were lucky enough to be here when there was a live singer. His song choices absolutely complimented the atmosphere here. We finished with a cocktail each which were a cut above. I would highly recommend experiencing either a drink or food here. You won’t regret it”

“Really excellent food, and the lunchtime deal was good value too for the high quality. Every item was brilliantly cooked and had excellent and unique flavours. For a lunchtime, there was enough food in 3 small plates and it was nice having a chance to try so many. Service was outstanding, super friendly and thoughtful. We had a lovely view of the sea from the sofas after the meal. There were 6 of us so between us we tried most of the lunch menu. Everything was delicious. Look forward to our next visit.”
