About Roam Brewing Company
Roam Brewing Company is a micro brewery in Plymouth at Douglas House, with a taphouse that pours its own ales, ciders and lagers. The Swimmer, a hazy pale ale, is on tap. Food comes from the kitchen as sourdough pizzas, with the dough made in house and a Plymouth spicy pizza on the menu to go with the beer. The taphouse has two bars, and leather sofas fill the seating areas. The in-house drinks are also sold in cans. The brewery is open Thursday to Sunday and closed Monday to Wednesday. It takes no bookings, so seating is walk-in.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the sourdough pizzas, describing them as fresh, tasty and cooked perfectly, with one naming the Plymouth spicy and another noting the house-made sourdough is really good. Close behind is the in-house beer, with a hazy pale ale called the swimmer singled out, alongside ciders and lagers that several say offer endless choice. One reviewer likes that the drinks are sold in cans for the journey home. Staff come up repeatedly as friendly and welcoming, and the venue is described as relaxed, with leather sofas and loads of space inside and out. Some stop in for pizza before an Argyle game. Complaints are minor. One reviewer warns the outside tables have no heaters and suggests wearing something warm, and another says the yard parking is reserved for neighbouring businesses, so a short walk from a side street is needed. One Friday night pizza order was mixed up, and the bar staff sorted it out immediately and offered a free drink.

“Didn’t know it existed 😝‼️and I am a Plymuff bhey 😂. What an excellent venue in area where there really isn’t any pubs. Wonderful choice of beers and my favourite “the swimmer” ( hazy pale ale ). Two bars with really good service and the Pizzas are to die for….I had a Plymouth spicy. Really impressed and it cheered us up after only getting a draw against arch rivals Exeter 🤮….loads of space both inside and out and a really good feel to it….”
