“Stayed here while walking the S Downs Way. Was a bit of a treat compared to the hostel the night before. Room was excellent and the service was great - very friendly and accommodating. We dined here too - the burger was very tasty! Hope to revisit this beautiful part of the world and to enjoy the White Hart again.”

“What a find! Four of us booked here for nearby Goodwood motor racing, and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The manager, Iain, was very helpful - even including helping me park our car. The rooms are great, with many little touches and provisions that I have rarely found in hotels at any level. Everything was clean, worked, in good condition, and backed by prompt and thorough cleaning, fresh towels, etc. The food is just great - everything you hope a British Pub could deliver and more complex and sophisticated dishes including local produce and seafood. Breakfast was great, too. In a word: Excellent.”

“We had a mixed experience going for Sunday lunch here. It's a lovely old building and well cared for inside. Service at first was attentive and our food was pretty good - good portions and lots of flavour. But once lunchtime service picked up we got forgotten. Our empty plates weren't cleared for 20 mins and we gave up getting dessert, paid and left. The fag butts littering the entrance steps capped a disappointing experience. Don't think we'll visit again, although it's perfect for a meal after walking on Harting Down.”
