Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the food, singling out the Cantonese pork and crispy shredded duck, along with a prawn dish with rice and a banana fritter with ice cream for dessert. The buffet and the three course set dinner come up close behind, and reviewers call both good value. Several describe the room as very clean, with Chinese art and a goldfish tank by the entrance, and they call the staff and the lady owner kind and friendly. Group celebrations feature heavily. One reviewer held a 60th birthday with a DJ and brought their own drinks and cake, another a 40th birthday, and a third a family meal for eight. The main complaint comes from one takeaway customer, who describes wet, poorly cooked egg rice, spare ribs without the honey glaze, beef in black bean sauce with raw garlic, and burnt mixed noodles, and who threw the meal away. Dine-in reviewers describe a different experience, with one noting the food for the family table of eight came out piping hot.

“Had a takeaway from there last night. I’ve eaten Chinese food all over the world never encountered anything as bad as this. The egg rice was wet and poorly cooked. Spare ribs glazed in honey didn’t have any. The Beef in black bean sauce consisted of lots of raw garlic plonked in amongst the meat with a tasteless slop gravy and no green pepper. I also had a mixed noodles that was burnt in the wok and inedible. I would avoid this place they charged me over £20 and it was rubbish. I threw it away..”

“I have been coming here for MANY years…every occasion…family get togethers…I got engaged here, had my wedding dinner here and have continued to enjoy every aspect of this place each time. The food is spectacular! Portions are perfect, staff very friendly and fast paced. My go to every year for our anniversary at a minimum. Definitely a must for those who haven’t been here yet.”
