  “Served not very hot, veg not cooked properly. Pork was a chop. Stuffing not cooked. Asked for more gravy for 2 but was told if I wanted more there would be a charge. Supposed roast potatoes inedible. Left most of my meal. Smile cafe where staff foes not smile. Will not be eating there ever again. Ros Townsend Cambridgeshire”

  “I was expecting more from the chef, something fresh at least, if they advertised it! But instead I got caned tomatoes which tasted quite bad and left juice in the plate mixing with everything :( ! As for the coffee I suggest a better barista and a different coffee bean roast.”

  “Arrived at quarter to 12 to find breakfast was over. Bit of an annoyed face on the woman at the till, no problem, we are here food food not a smile I guess. Ordered an all day breakfast and a Mocha, half an hour later and food finally arrived, was cold, undercooked bacon and pale sausages and a barely cooked hash brown. Could hear plenty of women having a chat and a laugh put the back in the kitchen though... I guess even mixing the drink was too much work.”

  “Always a friendly community atmosphere. The staff are helpful and polite :-) Cheap eats. Seems to be a safe space for people LDs and or autism. Sometimes short staffed, but the staff do their best in spite of this.”

  “We ordered food and did not have to wait a long time for it. The meals were piping hot and cooked to a very high standard. Although the staff were under pressure they maintained great customer service. Well done.”

  “Staff are friendly wasntl happy with full breakfast as sausage wasn't browned asked for sausage and bacon to be cooked more refused saying kitchen now shut. Food usually nice and reasonable with the prices. Shame that one member of staff refused.”

  “Very nice. It's been a while since I've been and I took my mum out for a coffee and a sausage roll. Team seemed to be a little stressed when we arrived and it wasn't busy but it didn't taint our experience. Everyone has off days and their food is lovely! As you can see from the picture. My tummy was satisfied!! :-)”

  “Slow service that was very lacking, not very busy but you'd have thought they were. The current system of hands up when ready to order made me feel like I'd gone back to school and was especially uncomfortable sitting like that for 5mins (although me and my friend just had to see the funny side) Uncompromising menu my friend wanted to be a little awkward and switch out beans for extra mushroom, or something along those lines, which most places can accommodate without issue, but they couldn't manage that. It took a while to get the order correct when putting it through the till but we got there in the end. The food was actually pretty good and not really greasy like a lot of places (we had breakfast). Price was maybe slightly steep when you look at the service and the type of place it is but it was OK.”

  “Pop in with my mum regularly. Today, mum had scampi and chips, and I had ham salad. Both were excellent. My salad had the biggest, most tasty slices of ham, two of them, and they weren't sliced too thinly either. Slice was as big as the plate!! Best salad I've had in a long time. Mum thoroughly enjoyed her scampi too. Less than £12 with tea, so excellent value for money too. Staff are friendly and approachable, and nothing is too much bother. Keep up the good work, guys!!”
