  “Chips wet soggy not cooked raw. Fish was definitely not cod. ask for large fish chips X2 was half portion at best. paying £25 for two Lots of fish and chips was not very happy at all. Did get money back for chips”

  “That was not Curry Sauce,,,That was more like Curry Gravy, But thinner ! I sipped it out of the pot, chips had no chance ? :-{”

  “Used to be our go to chippy but won’t be returning now under new management. Had to leave all of the batter as it’s now really thick, soggy and pretty tasteless. Mushy peas were completely dried out in the pot.”

  “Just been sold large cod and chips, the piece of cod was the size of a small and the chips were very greasy. The worst fish and chips I've ever had. At the cost of over £10 was disgusting. Avoid”

  “Great little chip shop. Very friendly. We ordered quite a few items. The price was fair. The fish, pie and curry sauce were great. Ideally for us we would prefer the chips to be a little more crisp, but that was very minor.”

  “I’ve not been this way for a while but couldn’t resist going in. The 2 ladies were very busy cooking and serving. The lady serving was great she double wrapped my fish and chips without my asking. I got home to discover a lovely piece of cod sat on some yummy chips. I will be back soon.”

  “I've visited John Dory's twice now and the food is lovely! It's my boyfriend's favourite chippy around and now it's been taken over by new ownership they offer gluten free! Which is so good that they cater for now as usually I'd miss out and have to eat elsewhere. They can do cod, jumbo sausages, chicken breast and a few other options too. The battered jumbo sausage was lovely and it's fried in with the chips so it's all gluten free. Well informed staff who take care to avoid cross contamination. And went and checked to see if the vinegar is gluten free, which it is! Thank you John dory's!”

  “Undoubtedly the smallest piece of fish I’ve ever received anywhere, would be better described as fish finger and chips rather than fish and chips. What was there tasted good but not somewhere to go if you like a generous portion!”
