About Wren and Raven
Wren and Raven is a coffee shop at 25-26 Market Pl in Penzance, combining art, live music and a live edge table that fits more than 20 chairs, so larger groups can sit together. Paintings and other art pieces fill the interior, which has plenty of room to sit. The drinks list covers lattes, including iced lattes. The cream tea comes with a large scone, jam and fresh cream. A small menu of breakfast and lunch dishes includes kedgeree. Tables are walk-in, and dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Coffee is the draw reviewers raise most, with one calling the flat white great, another describing the lattes and iced lattes as possibly the best they have tried, and others praising a barista who put real effort in. Close behind are the food and the setting: a kedgeree described as perfectly seasoned and fresh, a cream tea with a huge scone and generous fresh cream, and cinnamon buns with jam inside. Reviewers also mention homemade beans at breakfast, a toasty and a pork and fennel sausage roll, and a space full of art with a long live edge table. Staff come across as friendly and welcoming, and a few note it works for lunch with a laptop. The criticism is specific. One reviewer waited 25 minutes for food that arrived with unrunny poached eggs, white pudding instead of the advertised black pudding, a bitter coffee and a matcha that was all milk. Others found the lunch menu small, and one had to prompt for a sausage roll that never arrived, with one toilet out of order.

“Lunch whilst on holiday in the area. I had the toasty and some pork and fennel sausage roll. They were alright though the sausage roll never arrived without prompting first. The toilet was out of order so just the disabled one was in use.”

“Very nice coffee. Possibly one of the best tasting lattes & iced lattes I have ever tried. The barista put a lot of effort into the coffee and you could tell. Very impressed. Lovely vibe inside, decor was cool. Food looked amazing too.”

“Visited this on a Sunday morning cos it is the only cafe opened around the area. It does open at 10am as stated. Flat white is great and cinnamon buns have jam in it (is it cornish style?). The interior is full of art pieces and Tabby Booth's paintings are remarkable, some sold as prints on a gallery website. A live edge table that fits over 20 chairs is another hidden gem. The bus station heading to Land's End is just round the corner.”
