About Verdant Brewing Co - Brewery & Taproom
Verdant Brewing Co - Brewery & Taproom is a brewery in Penryn, based at 30 Parkengue on the Kernick Industrial Estate. The taproom pours from 16 keg lines and 4 cask lines, and an open window looks from the taproom into the brewery itself. Neapolitan wood-fired pizzas come alongside the beer, baked on stone, with a Marinara among the options. The pizza makers work in view of customers, so the cooking can be watched from the room. Some nights bring live performances and a DJ.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the beer, with plenty on tap and cans to take away, and many describe making a pilgrimage after wanting to visit for a long time. The Neapolitan pizza is close behind, with a Marinara singled out as very good, large pizzas called tasty, and good desserts mentioned. Staff are described as friendly and knowledgeable, and one parent says the pizza makers are great with a toddler who loves to watch. Diners also mention the open view into the brewery, a sunny outdoor seating area, and live performances or a DJ on busier nights, when it gets loud inside. Dogs are welcome, according to one reviewer. The criticisms are specific: one found a pizza with no cheese very expensive and was disappointed that cheese options beyond the Margherita are missing, another wanted more vegan options, and one says the pizza went cold quickly because the plates were not warmed. Parking at the site is described as limited, with one visitor finding a street spot a short walk away.

“Where’s the cheese? It’s a lovely place with a great atmosphere and a lovely pizza dough, but £19 for a pizza without cheese is just not a pizza. The lack of any cheese options (that isn’t a margarita) is really disappointing.”

“Been here weekly this month. The beer and pizza are excellent. The staff are lovely, all of the guys making pizza are really great with my toddler who loves to watch. It’s a great place to spend the evening.”

“It’s been a bucket list item to visit this place for a while now and I was not disappointed. The beers were, of course, spectacular; the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and the space really comfortable. My only small criticism would be that the pizza turned cold very quickly because the plates were not warmed - hardly a show stopper though and we spent a very enjoyable six hours (and not inconsiderable amount of cash) here. Shout out to Dan for his help in choosing our takeaway cans and finding us a taxi 💪”

“Our first time here and well what a lovely place. Great selection of refreshments reasonably priced, staff friendly and helpful. Fantastic food and an absolute sun trap. Will definitely become one of our favourite places”
